Bought my 16 off road Tacoma used not realizing it had a 2inch lift with spacers on rear with blocks under leaf pack, not sure what they did in the front for a lift cause there is still a rake on the truck,so my question is will I run in to any trouble with this set up just primarily driving on roads with occasional trails.also have 17" after market rims with 265/70/17 tires.wish they wouldn't of cheaped out.what would you do in my situation without having a lot of money?thanks in advance.

Take the blocks out and put Billstein 5100's on. You can keep stock coils or replace them with OME 2888 or 2887 coils. I use stock coils on 5100's and I love it! I got the 5100's for like $350 from headstrong off road and then $300 for installation.

Really depends on what you have. For the standard mall crawl probably okay but would need to see what it is. You can swap out a few things for cheap to get a better functional ride, especially if you hit any trails.

If you’re not having issues, I’d leave it alone. Is the ride horrible? I’d guess not, or you wouldn’t have bought it. Blocks in the rear are fine, just doesn’t ride as smoothe as a 3 pack AAL but aren’t harmful. What’s your front suspension look like?

A block rides similar to stock, no?
Any leaf adding stiffens up the ride

That’s just what I’ve read on here. Haven’t done either with this Tacoma. But yes the rear should ride exactly like stock with just a block.

I actually only did the front 2 and did a deaver AAL in the rear. Truck rides great. Definitely better than stock.

I can verify this is correct. I'm running a 1 inch block in the rear. I haven't noticed any difference to speak of...

Can you take a front shot of the front shock so we can see what type of shock it is.

But yeah the rear looks to be either a 1.5" or 2" block

Front doesn’t appear to be a spacer lift that most on here are against. How about an overall shot of the truck to see the rake as well?
Here’s a shot of my OME coil and front bilstein shock.

Here’s the oem front coil and strut. Looks like you already have aftermarket coils and front shocks from that first pic. Are yours like this? Or different?

Would say the back is just slightly higher, doesn't ride bad just can't figure out how someone lifted the front,if I were to remove rear spacers and put in Bilstein 5100's in rear would that keep it lifted in rear or would I have to ad a leaf,I don't know anything about lifts, thanks in advance

The strut is black,so obviously then they've replaced that, would the strut itself give a lift in the front or would you need to replace the spring as well.would like to remove the rear block from what I'm reading it's not good if you like to do any kind of off-roading.

I don’t believe just putting 5100 in the rear provides any lift

They dont. Adding leafs, blocks or custom leaf springs lift the rear.
