They have an option to fly the Husky or 182, which works great for me. One for local grass and one for trips. Long term it seems too expensive, but for 1-2 years would be Ok. 5 yrs in the club though would almost buy something like a maule MXT-7 that I could insure. First world problems I guess.

I took it my sophomore year of college w/o prep. Basic questions from high school education with some spatial orientation and logical thinking too. If you're comfortable with basic algebra, science, and grammar, you're covered. No aviation experience when I took at and now flying's my job! Biggest threat is time for each question.

Flying into and out of Honolulu was pretty awesome this weekend. Lots of USAF goodies to drool over! I even got treated to an F-22 ripping off the runway and turnin' & burnin' off somewhere while I was picking up my rental car. I gotta see if my pictures came out decent and I'll post them here

Yeah, this guy's camera is the size of a telescope and he takes great pictures. Wish I had one from inside the cockpit cause a second after that everything went white and disappeared until I hit the ground pretty much.

Don't forget to time yourself when you take them. I can't stress that enough. Super smart dudes were leaving questions blank at the end and they all get counted wrong. I'm sure the book and doing the practice tests will give you the confidence boost you need to calm down and nail the test when you take it. good luck. pm me if you have any questions about anything between commissioning and getting your wings.

Thanks! I remember taking the ACT/SAT before college and I didn’t let the time issue get to me all that much. I think I’ll manage okay once I get a few practice tests out of the way.
