Need to at least have a treadmill, stationary bike, or something of that nature.

    What's your current setup?

Yeah I feel like you can have a really solid setup with a good squat rack, bench, bar and weights.

Lift weights faster = cardio. Or burpees, they are devil's gift to equipment free cardio and whole body destruction.

Basically what Seth said haha. We also have a Peloton bike my wife wanted and loves. I'll use it to supplement my runs.

If there is any equipment I want to use but don't have, just end up going to my work gym either before work or on the weekends

Flat bench + squat rack = bench press if you've got one with adjustable j-hooks

It seems like I am going through more oil than last year too. That may be why.

Nope. No unused rooms. Family of 5, with 2 teenagers. And only a few rooms with new windows. However, the 3rd floor/attic is air-tight with new windows and the foam. No air movement up there.

I keep a tight watch on tstat, blah blah.
My ecobee tracks actual call for heat/cool and trends it against ambient temp, and wind, etc. I havent looked at decembers yet, but....

As fat as tearing walls down, and spraying foam. No. Dont. ROI vs cost on THAT isnt there.
Figure $1.60 to $2 per board foot of roam, installed. THEN drywall materials, labor, blah blah.
    Dense pack cellulose.
Either way, you cannot have knob and tube wiring, so, that is a cost factor for some.
The dense pack will of course insulate, i believe r13-15(could be more?) In 2x4 walls. Plus, it makes a significant dent in airflow through the walls, which is where the most improvement will be seen.THEN, wrap, abd add 1-2inches of rigid taped/sealed foam on the outside.

I have done a LOT of research into this, and trying to make old houses as green as possible.

    YEP.
But, I never complain about heat and humidity, so......
    FB_IMG_1547306572896.jpg
And this was 3 years ago last month, right before I put the KO2s on that
Nothing like having the island almost be private, while fishing for drum, or flounder, and still being a "cold" 65f this time of year. Windy as hell, as you can see from the sand and chop....

The last winter we were there, I think the heat kicked on 3 or 4 nights.....

It takes longer for me to drive DOWN the beach to 4wd only (approx 5 miles down), and continue to a secluded spot, than, it does to GET there.

Too hard on my knee. As much as I hate running, my left knee is a LOT less sore after 2 miles on the treadmill than after 20 minutes of burpees

What kind of windows did you go with?
See , my house , I think, is pretty well insulated with the cellulose packed. Didn’t do foam on outside ( kicking myself in the ass for that ....idjit) wife’s got me thinking it was poorly done.
I put Simonton replacement windows in and I am not that impressed with product and CS.
I just don’t like the plaster but just have to deal with it I guess

Using Pella replacements upstaira(off the rack size)
    And Andersons downstairs(off the rack).
Was the house wrapped? That will help as well.
But, most heat loss is through the roof... that is where the biggest improvements will be seen.
So, good proper insulation up top, should be the most important

    Yeah, that isnt even a steam plant. 7 recip compressors(3, 125hp,, and 4, 75hp)and 1, 250hp screw, for refrigeration.
And just added a 500hp screw, and started that Thursday

And I DO miss steam/boiler work
