Anyone have any tips on installing the t3 front bumper? I'm trying to get mine on but it keeps running with the tow hook on the driver side. I'm contemplating cutting the bumper to make it fit.

Anyone know the weights of the T3 aluminum front and hi-clearance dual swingout bumpers?

I think one of mounting tabs on the rear/transfer case skid got tweaked a little in shipping. One of them looks like it bows outward slightly, whereas the other appears to be more perpendicular to the rest of the skid. It looks like both the tabs on @kakwvu skid are both perpendicular(I stole your pic for reference). I'll try to get a picture of mine when I get home from work.

I'm going to try to test mount everything before painting, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the tab back into the correct orientation? I don't have a torch to heat it the tab so I thinking of just putting the tab in a vice and using my body weight as leverage to attempt to bend it??? They're BEEFYYY!!!

Interested to see what yours looks like. Mine looks hilarious with the surface rust before I had it cleaned and coated.

The front sides a pictured above. Just no picture of the tabs yet. I was surprised at the general cleanliness of my skids. Shouldn’t require too much cleaning and prep for paint.

Gonna have to turn it over. I’m sure (hopefully) it’ll be fine. To test fit, you’ll have remove the brake line bracket on your driver side so it’ll slide on correctly for the fit.

Yea I’ve checked them all out pretty throughly. All are clean and seem to be defect free, other than the tab.

Can I test fit that rearmost skid without the transfer case skid installed?

Yeah it’ll just have some front to back swing in it, but you’ll be able to tell if those tabs will be an issue.

Killer. I need to study some of the installed pics to see exactly where it is mounted.

When you take that brake bracket off and bolt it up, you’ll see where you go on the other side. You have that rubber plug to remove on the passenger side, too.

This may be a silly question, but the two support brackets behind the stock IFS skid need to be removed and are not utilized with the CBI front correct?

If what you’re talking about is what I think, yes. Removed mine a long time ago when I had a mid from Pelfreybilt.

Well one of the mounting tabs on the rearmost skid was definitely bent enough during shipment to prevent being mounted as is. I’ve already contacted the vendor I purchase through and they’ll be getting in touch with CBI Monday. I’m sure bending it back into position will be the remedy, but I’d prefer to have CBI make that call. Unfortunately I don’t have a big enough vice to hold this beast still, or a torch to heat it up.

It’s tough to see in the pictures, but it’s definitely outa whack.

Where y’all mounting your propane mounts on the t3 dual swing. I need a water and fuel jerry as well as propane but the big fold down camp table for my grill is on spare tire side
