Sliders are getting closer just put on a few coats of bedliner. My youngest had a slight fever today and of course she's fine, but had to take the day and stay home with her. So we tackled this project!
Maybe I can have them on by winter!:D

I can imagine. My 11+ year old, 208k mile FJ has been needing a decent amount of maibtmainte lately too, but that's to be expected. Also better than a car payment so take it.

It's holding steady but consistently has something wrong with it. So it's hard to pull the trigger on more off-road equipment when I know it needs more to get it running right .
I may just get it and sit on it awhile!

Well when the previous owner treats it like crap for 16 years and then a new caretaker takes over there are some issues that like to lay in wait until just the right time. I'm just going ahead and fixing them as they happen. Much of it is deferred maintenance, but some is lift related and just needs some adjustments now that the rear springs have settled in the rear I can lower the front down a bit.
I think it needs a new battery, the alternator has already been replaced, it has a leak near the transmission but not sure where it's coming from from exactly, it's a seal but I forget what it was called. @tacobell007 Drew thinks he knows the source after looking at the leak when we did the axles. I'm holding out judgement on UCAs until after I get the front readjusted.
I do love the vehicle though, it rides very nice compared to my Tacoma, has tons of space fits all my kids and then some with ease and I currently have no car payment and insurance is cheap. I figure the way I'm going by fixings things as they come I'm eventually going to end up with a brand new(although 17yrs old) vehicle soon!:D

Brand new most of these go for about 400+ from what I have seen, so that's a deal and a half!

Good to know. I love my FJ, but more space is always nice. Can't say I don't constantly have my eye on ih8mud classifieds. Though has would be killer on my ~ 80-100 mile round trip commute.

There's lots and lots of guys on there that have had much better experiences with their 100's because they did their due diligence before their purchase.
I will say, my gas milage is actually slightly better than it was in my Tacoma. It ends up being a little more costly per fill up because it's a larger 22gal tank, but I get more out of it between fillups than I did before.

Lol, so I just looked up the winch plate to see what it costs new and it only 154 shipped brand new, so I guess its not as smokin of a deal as I thought. There are other brands of the same thing and those are 400 so big question is why the huge price difference?

well since 2011 TJM started production for some of their parts here state side, so maybe that has helped cut costs on a bunch of items avoiding the entire importation time and expense
