A lifetime of little inconsequential decisions like this and you will have to eat cat food in your eighties to survive. Put some of it in the bank...

How do you know they are irritating if you not have them? I have yet to hear anyone say, “gee I wish my 18 didn’t have adaptive cruise control”. All the TSS functions are great....seems all of this hate on the 18 and up models is a classic case of “hate what you fear, fear what you don’t understand”.

You must have been worried the next year would have adaptive cruise control.

I have an 18, I turn the adaptive portion of the cruise control off. It leaves way too much space between you and the vehicle you are following, and if the vehicle ahead of you is turning and does not get out of the way your truck slams on the brakes, then accelerates like crazy to get back up to speed.

I have a 16 I bought in February 2016 . I'm going to keep it pay it off and use it more heavily off road besides my normal trails (already had water 10" up the doors and done 2 cross country camping/trail trips but shy away from some things because I drive it to work ). By then something new will be out and that will be worth it more to me . I dont see the point in spending wasted money on the same thing.

I've also spent way to much on mods as well . I try and justify it by keeping the mods under the purchase price of my snap on box lol.

I'd keep the access cab... access cab is great, good on the trails and not a limo plus you'd only be in debt 3 more years man, not 5

You can adjust the space between you and the vehicle in front with the button the steering wheel. There are 3 settings.

Yeah I Know. I feel it still leaves too much room. If you push and hold the cruise control button it turns the radar off and works like a regular cruise control.

So basically, your '17 has depreciated $12k in two years. Seems like a lot.

Is that a legitimate way of looking at it? I don't know.

    1. So, you give him your truck which he's probably going to sell for somewhere in the upper $20,000s.
    2. You've already paid whatever your monthly payment is times 24. For sake of argument, say it's $500. That's $12,000.
    3. You're going to pay him money for the next 60 months at the same monthly payment. So again for sake of argument: $30,000.

And you're going to do this for a little more leg room in the back, a different color, a 1ft longer bed, and some creature comforts? o_O

Do what a lot of people do: trade yours in and lease the new one, asking for the lowest monthly payment plan you can get for it to save money. :p

I waited until my 2007 TRD PreRunner was almost 13 years old to get a new 2019 TRD Sport so you have quite a few more years to wait.

I mean I just recently did what you want to do. Traded my 17 sr5 for my 19 trd. Didn’t loose any money on the trade. Payment went up slightly and apr went up. Still don’t care lol love the new truck. It’s a big investment I’d rather be happy with it
