Hurry up and cut that supercharger up!! Are you gonna weld a throttle body flange right to it?

 

No, I am going to make the back area larger if possible like I've seen on some other supercharger setups, then weld the tb flange to that.

Cast Aluminum is tough to weld no doubt!

 

Strength and sealing is #1 priority. Weld appearance a distant 2nd.

 

I've had Borla and I personally hated it @Kelvin

Too quiet on the overall spectrum. I would not recommend.

 

Funny, I had a super44... Welded a borla xr1 after the ypipe merger (kept super44 in oem spot still) it made it even deeper.
Still have the xr1, but the drone master is gone and swapped for a Maggy. Stealth is wealth

 

Exactly. Last night I was driving next to a cop and had to accelerate a little moderately. No doubt he heard the supercharger and all 6 cylinders in their equal length glory. My window tint is also not legal. No problem, he kept going and I turned left.

 

Yea I’ve got XR1 multicore out back. Considering their size they are pretty quiet. Sounds great though. Very beefy and not raspy.

I was just thinking the borla dual/dual would be a bit better built than the magnaflow since they’re a bit more complicated. I could sell the magnaflow race mufflers and vibrant resonators too. Also, my mom would be happier if my car were quieter.

But I thought the louder it is the more panties will get thrown at me?

As long as it’s not obnoxiously loud to where it actually does disturb the peace then anyone should be good. Also I rarely speed anymore. It’s not often I see anything over 70. My car is actually enjoyable to sit in so I’m not rushing to get out. Tint shouldn’t be an issue nowadays up here. I could just say it’s a deterrent for all the smash and grabbers.

 

Update on the AEM AFR x-guage and it not reading the same as the uTune. Swapped in the Denso sensor and everything looks good again.

 

How much was the AFR off with bosch?

 

It's like I've been saying for a few years now. Bosch sensors are total trash. I'm glad you are back to normal now!

 

Like $170ish I think. Bought it awhile ago.

I was going down to low 8's. And the uTune was showing low 12's.

Did your cast piece pop, and shoot up to the tungsten?

Grade 8 washers will. Have to heat them up slowly. Found that out on Sunday. Just like the Bimmer metal.

 

Just watched the reveal of the Supra and Mr. Akio Toyoda himself was on stage to reveal it. Got about 5 people to clap on 3 different occasions. I am not sure I have ever seen such a "bomb" of a reveal before. I have a feeling most people there felt the same way I do. It is sacrilege to put the name Supra on a BMW and tout it as your own. Would have been much better received if they would have just not used the name Supra and come up with something new for the 100% BMW built and designed car. Not saying the car is not nice and will be fun to drive, but it is not a Toyota in any sense and other than the front bumper, it screams BMW.

 

Doesn't it use the same engine manufacturer as BMW as well? Like they (Toyota) did with the 2JZ block.
