I cleaned the roof and panel with 70% IPA, and warmed both slightly with a heat gun.

Surprised it's failed you in the cold - when I have needed to remove things held on with it in the past I have found heat makes it easier.

In general, when I pry things apart held together with VHB I see the foam middle layer tear in half, while the adhesive stays stuck to both surfaces.

Honestly took me a minute to realize you weren't talking about a style of hoppy brew, and how it would make a good cleaning agent.

Same. I was thinking that was a waste of 70% of a good IPA to dump it on the roof.

Hah - we use isopropyl all day long at work so it's become second nature to call it 70% or 90% IPA. When I first started it always made me thirsty when someone brought it up.

yeah tried that as well, I'll reapply for the third time here in the summer. think it is just the vibrations on snorkel that are causing it to fail. I've let it set up for 24 hours before moving it, first time I believe I strapped it to the truck as well with a long ratchet strap. usually tears a bit an the rest pops off the paint.

I am currently driving up through Mexico from Zihuatanejo. And will be needed new tires. I am crossing at El Paso then heading up through Flagstaff. Does anyone know where I can get a set of KO2’s at a good shop?

    Cheers!

    That's weird.

A body shop did a not-so-good job reinstalling a bumper protector on my wife's Subaru. It was about half attached with the tape rolled over on itself and such. Removing the rest from the bumper using heat and solvents gave me blisters from all the work needed.

I prepped with 70% on both parts and had to use two layers for thickness due to the lip on the protector. It held through summer and is still doing great. I check it every few weeks just in case.

Yes, I have the side door on my camper and it has a full screen. I'm a fan of the side door.

Has anyone not trimmed their Prinsu Cab racks or not installed smaller spacers than what was shipped with them and had contact with the GFC? (3rd Gen Tacoma DCSB)
I haven’t been known to flex my truck to the max too often. Needing some input on this before I make the 1800 mile (one way) trek to get the camper.
I would like to keep my Prinsu for light mounting and to hold my traction boards, or front runner boxes ext... Thanks!

@transworldmoto does or did. You can always cut the rack behind the middle attachment points as well.

I’m trying to avoid doing so incase I want to sell it after the Go Fast rack hits the streets. It’s pretty much useless after you cut it to anyone but a GFC owner.

Cool, thank you. I finally got an email back from them yesterday and I decided to add the side door to mine. Now i just wish they would release the darker fabric before mine was built.

Have they changed the fabric type or just the color?

When did they change color? All the ones I’ve seen pictures of look to be the same gray.
