This seems like a great way to waste time for 0 purpose. I just turn the truck off and everything else goes off too.

When I was younger, my coworkers had a habit of lifting keys and turning on every electrical device, especially the radio at full blast, in a vehicle.

At the end of a long day, the unsuspecting victim would have a nice welcome when they truned the key...lol

I drove an older vehicle before this one and it is habit to turn off all electrical systems before I turn off my engine. Any forced air, lights, radio.

Radio stays on, heater/ac off, temp set to middle, vents closed and aligned properly, lights out, visors up! Passengers slapped for not abiding by the rules!

The first day of ownership I installed a remote starter so that the windows would be at least partially defrosted in the winter. So no, I don't turn the heater fan off before shutting down. Radio, sometimes yes, sometimes no.

I think it's a bit ridiculous to think today's vehicles would be adversely affected in any way by leaving accessories in the on position.

I think the truck automatically unloads everything during starting. No advantage.
I leave everything exactly as it was when I stop. I truly do don't care, except sometimes I wonder why I was listening to music as loud as I was...

Entune does nothing without a cell phone except play your radio on your favorite AM stations.

I generally turn everything off before shutting the truck off. Just a habit that I have always done.

Entune is the worst thing about the truck! I honestly can’t think of anything I hate more and just refuse to use!

Agreed, I just play music from the usb drive. Or, turn off the radio and listen to the engine.

No, and when I lived in snow I would just put it where I needed for tomorrow and remote start.

I am usually on the road around 5am, and I never, ever listen to the radio in the morning- my habit. I also turn off the head unit screen during the winter months because I don't like extraneous lighting in the cab.

I wouldn't consider it "anal", just personal preference....lol

    Stock and staying that way
OP, you are probably doing more harm to your vehicle by cycling all the switches, than starting with the accessories on. The A/C for example, has an electric clutch. The computer won't actually lock it until the engine is running.

Old school practice from when cars were “dumb”... todays vehicle’s load shead during start, so no harm in leaving accessories on (otherwise, what would be the point in all those remote starring systems)...
