I had to go get a little vice to attach to my drill press so I can (somewhat) accurately drill the holes. I had to make some taller jaw inserts that fit the rail. Then cut some shims to hold the rail because the round part is 1” thick and the square part is only 3/4” thick.

    Old vs new jaw inserts

    Gripping only the square part

All clamped down ready for pilot holes

The first hole. A little bit off-center, but good enough. My drill press bed is probably a little too flexy. I’ve got enough rail to make a third one. This one will be the practice run.

The injector might look a little angled in the pic. It’s just the o-ring alone doesn’t hold it at 90*.

This is the drill bit. Looks like they just used and 11/16 HSS bit and machined it as needed.

I feel like this is quickly becoming frankentruck. Started off with a simple supercharger. Then he fell down the rabbit hole haha. Awesome work. Looking forward to more future awesomeness.

Doesn’t seem to stick up any higher than the stock rail.

How much larger ID is it than the stock fuel rail? Looks a lot larger.

The stock rail is about 11.0 mm ID
The new rail is about 16.5mm ID

Before I get into figuring out mounting, I’m waiting for some spare lower injector o-rings I ordered. They were supposed to be here yesterday, but USPS...

I think I’m going to tap holes in the bottom of the rail and bolt some .5” thick mounting tabs to it rather than welding something on.

Looks amazing! I was wondering looking at the previous picture if there would be enough clearance with the sc installed. I guess so if it's not any taller than stock.

It looks like it will clear easily. What I’m trying to figure out now is if I can squeeze one of these in somewhere.

Router table extension is getting a huge upgrade. Swapping out the DIY plywood top for a Peachtree cast iron router wing.
