For the cam bolts go OEM for the bushings just save yourself all the aggravation and buy new LCA's with the bushings installed - I did the busing swap once and hated life. So much worth the $ to just buy new aftermarket ones & be done with it.
Unless you've got a shop with a press just trust me on this one.
That's destroyed. How is your truck still running Joel?

I'm fucking with him - mine is the same at 191K.

It's just a little oil seepage from the valve covers and all it does is allow the dirty motor to had more dirt stick to it. Annoying? yes. Problematic? Not really, I don't think so.

I'd ask @loosnut for his professional opinion.

Eventually I'll pull mine and re-seal them but I'll get the valve covers powder coated red when I do it.

I’ve unfortunately only used it for one 3 night getaway so far. Hope to use in in March for a weekend trip to a mod day in the St. Louis area at @G.T. Place. The date is not determined yet though.

I may do a weekend in Feb just to GTFO of town for a bit. Undecided as of now.

Lmk! We’re camping next weekend pending weather. If it snows I’m stoked, if it’s rain I’m bailing. First winter camping trip in the RTT!

Time to service your valve cover gaskets. Dont wait to long when they go completely oil will leak out rapidly drip on to your exhaust manifold and cause a real mess. It does not matter what year, make or model you have all engines start to leak some sort of fluids eventually. In the mean time see of you can retork the bolts on the valve covers this might buy you some more time.

Haha I was gonna say looks like it’s time to replace the valve covers gaskets but that ain’t to bad of a leak....

And thanks @HomerTaco I jumped the gun a little. I bought the bolts from the dealer and then bought the bushings from someplace else. Aftermarket LCAs are on the long waiting wishlist haha. I’ll be in my buddy’s shop and if we need a press I got another place for those.

Spray it down with Brakekleen and see if it continues to leak. Give the bolts a check while your at it.

    BP-51 OEM LIFT..33;s...full skids....dual Batteries
Really? I think I would re visit that conversation with the dealer, ask them for a written eval, including cause...and how a lift could be the reason for rust...where the OEM bolts replaced by the lift kit? if so I can see they response...if not then I dont. I pulled mine and anti siezed them when installing the BP-51 I have.....

I hate dealership service MGRs w/ a passion. Reminds me of a ford fusion I had that the steering rack went bad. The car came with 16" factory wheels and I had put 17" factory wheels on it. They told me that's why the rack broke. I asked if the vehicle had a different rack when it comes with 17" wheels. They said no and we stared at each other. Still took more calls to Ford to cover the repair. Irrelevant, but felt the need to tell this story.

Valve cover gaskets are a fairly simple task. Especially with the rubber gaskets. You don’t even have to scrape the old gasket material off.

On the subject of LCA bushings, if you ARE going to to replace them, instead of getting new LCAs, you might as well put poly bushings in.

It is a PIA IMHO though. I pressed all of mine out with my ball joint press. Then I was able to press the smaller bushings back into each LCA.

The bigger bushings wouldn’t go. And yes, they were in the freezer prior..., I gave up and brought them to a garage that I use when I have something I just don’t want to do. He got them in, but said he struggled and they were very tight.
