Hi all. I’m a new member and navigating this site seems a bit confusing to me. I made my first post yesterday and tried to comment on something today. I don’t think I did it correctly so whoever I interacted with please bare with me. Any tips would be appreciated. I have a 2018 TRD Sport. I had a leveling kit put on (when she’s ready for new tires going to go with next size up) black running boards, tinted windows, going to black out the emblems, smoked tail lights, which I’m having trouble with so removing and looking for some other smoked/black tail lights, getting the wheels and grill blacked out in a week or two. I’ve already learned a thing or two from this site and looking forward to more!

You’re welcome. It does it automatically when you quote a post or like a post. Also when some one responds to a thread you are subscribed to. You subscribe to a thread by posting on the thread or hitting Watch Thread at the top right of the thread.

I’ve posted in the lighting thread so I will automatically get notifications when someone also posts in that thread?

Yes, you will get a notification for the first unread post in there. So if someone posts and then five more people post before you go back to the thread, then you will only get one notification for the first person that posted. If you check the thread each time that someone posts, then you will get a notification for each new post.

I hope that makes sense lol.

Also, you can access any thread you have started, replied to, or watched by hitting watched threads at the top.

Welcome. Yeah that’s how it works. If you don’t want to “watch” or get notifications from that thread anymore you can click the little glasses icon or the “unwatch” towards the top right of the thread and it will basically unsubscribe you from that thread. Your posts still stay, and if someone likes or replies to your thread you’ll get that notification, but just not all of the notifications from other people posting.

This is also very helpful. My son has a Tacoma and I love it. I always said my next vehicle would be one so I’ve been looking on the site for probably the last year or more (before I knew I’d be getting one) but just signed up yesterday. My last vehicle I had every intention of driving it to the ground. It was a Jeep Trailhawk and I started having issues with it that no one could figure out. It was only three years old. Decided enough was enough and traded it in couple of months ago. Shortly after that I got a notice that there’s a lawsuit against them because of a faulty part... missed out on that‍♀️ But love my truck!!! Thanks for all your much needed help!!

You’re very welcome. Sorry, but not surprised to hear about your troubles with Jeep. You might look into it more, you might still be entitled to some sort of settlement since your out resources to fix it. Time and travel at least.

You’ll find you will drive with confidence as the Tacoma is one of, if not the most dependable vehicle on the road today.

I’m fortunate that I have a great dealership that I always buy from and since they couldn’t figure it out I was never charged. The biggest bummer for me is that my jeep was paid off and now I have a truck payment which I wasn’t expecting to have as a result of it. But I can’t complain too much because I always wanted a Tacoma and I do love it. It was just going to be years down the road before I got one . Prior to the jeep I had a Toyota Sienna. Drove that for 10 years and never had to do anything to it but the normal maintenance stuff. The only reason I got rid of it is because my kids became adults and I know longer need it to drive the van! I’ve always been a fan of Toyota.

It’s also expensive, I’ve bought many things for my truck that I don’t need but just had to have!!
