Anyone else have the bed step?

Anyone with a folding bed step worried about the bolts falling out due to road vibration?

 

No. They use existing bolts, and there is a specified torque to tighten them down to.

 

When I have mine installed I'm not going to worry about them coming loose either. Just another member started this thread and I thought loc-tite on the threads UN-nessary.

I’ve had mine on for a couple of years. Works great and has never come loose.

 

Very hefty bolts. Just torque to the spec in the installation sheet. Don't need Loctite.

 

I will sell mine, was the first thing I took off not sure what there worth PM me. SOLD

So where is the piece that bolts on your frame? Still on the truck?
I have watched this video enough times I think I could put the step on myself if I had a breaker bar and torque wrench. lol

How much, I’m up the road in the Bay Area and need to make a trip to Morgan hill soon.

 

I have the AMP research one. Very well made and essential in getting my fat ass up in the bed of the truck to tie my dogs up.

 

If there is a chance for a hang up when retracted...your tow hitch will go first!

 

I recall reading that Amp Research makes the Toyota OEM bed step. Apparently Amp also makes the Toyota OEM bed extender.

 

I'm not sure a poor person should be taking on loans on an expensive midsize truck.
