Huge shoutout to @pete37 and Creditstone Auto Parts for putting up a detail kit for the winner of this winter rally!

    TEC Winter Navigational Rally

Welcome to TEC Winter Navigational Rally, by participating in this event you agree not to hold the organizers or associated volunteers liable for any incidents, accidents, injuries or death. Even though this is a competitive event, we respectfully remind everyone to please drive safely and be courteous to other competitors and road users. We recommend that you run with all lights on and use hazard lights when stopping. Do not trespass on private property. The route is designed to be on public roads only, you must obey all speed limits and local traffic laws. You must have licensed, roadworthy car, hold valid driver's license and have valid vehicle insurance. Please have easy accessible towing points. It is also recommended to have equipment for minor repairs. Bring suitable clothing.

How to participate in the event:
    • Download All Trails App (free), register/log in and set your location to be always on.
    • Fill up with fuel, check fluids and tire pressure, clean windows and lights
    • Bring co-pilot with you, not necessary but it will be more interesting
    • Arrive at the start
    • Zero odometer, begin track recording via All Trails App, and depart at given start time
    • Once you completed the route submit .gpx track to toyotaenthusiastqlub@gmail.com
    • Have fun, drive safe, enjoy!

    WHERE: HERE
    WHEN: Saturday, February 23 @10:30

10:30 - meet up, organize, talk trucks, have a coffee etc.
11:15 - start of the rally
14:00 - end of the rally

This is an absolutely stock friendly event, but I suggest to have good winter tires or working 4x4, there are sections where you will need good traction.

Total distance is about 70 kilometers and it will take you approximately 1 hour 20 minutes to complete.

After you submit your .gpx file we will check the speed and times for each section and compare it to the benchmark that we set. The goal is to obey all traffic rules and stay within the speed limit. The person that completes the rally with the closest time to our benchmarked vehicle can win detailing kit provided by Creditstone Auto Parts! It’s a great kit that will make your vehicle shine this upcoming summer season!

Hey, that's Eddie Shacks old donut shop lol...for all the Russians in the room who don't know Eddie Shack, he played hockey during the era of the 1972 Summit Series (spoiler alert, Canada won). That infamous tournament where Bobby Clarke broke Kharlamov's ankle with a little love tap!

Anyhow, Eddie retired and when not selling Xmas trees at Avenue and Davenport Rd in Toronto he owned a donut shop in Caledon. That is the place...carry on

I'll reach out to Shane, see if he wants to geek out in the Tacoma ...he might be down in FLA but if not, might be able to convince him to bring out a diesel

Wow, my grandfather's farm was just down the road on Hurontario and Old Schoolhouse Rd. Not much of it standing anymore :(.

So, barring any major conflict, I am in for this run. There are some very nice wind-ee class b and class c roads up there that go up and down thru the escarpment. Did it last fall and mentioned to wife it would be nice ride on a winter run.

And if we ask nicely, pfft...nay, demand of the communist plug of modern KGB among us, he'll show us which guardrail he folded his RAV4 into up near Belfountain!

Nice! The guard rail that was on the way of my lovely V6 RAV4 is indeed going to be there:bikewheelie2:

I picked pretty good windy/scenic route with interesting things to see and plenty available real estate for sale to peek at :spy:

No. it's the north west corner, across the road (which used to be 22 side road) from the old school house. I was there in 2013 last and only the house shell and part of the driving shed were still there. Floors in the house collapsed, so I couldn't go in. You can't really see the house for the trees. I know a developer has owned it for years...

I love that area. Forks of the Credit road and the Cheltenham badlands. Very cool scenery indeed!
