I bought my tacoma in Montana on vacation when my car broke down. We hopped in and drove home to florida in complete comfort. Obviously we are all built different. The tacoma fits me like a glove, everything in the right place. I bet the designer is some slightly overweight 5ft 9 balding white male. Lol.

seems to fit perfectly right?! lol

Seats fit me well, 5'8". I will probably try a washer lift on an afternoon and see how it feels.. can always take it out! Think I have some old jeep bushings that may work lol

On one hand, there are complaints of lack of space of room, along with the “perched” feeling driving the third gen.

But then, some are adding spacers. I get that it changes the angle, but also perching up higher right? Seems counterintuitive when it’s a cramped space.

Could a solution be to sit closer to the pedals to relieve the pressure on the back of the legs?

I have to agree that the seat spacers help a lot. I had 1" spacers in the rear but dropped them down to 3/4" and it left just enough rearward "rake" that the seat is more comfortable. If I could find someone to make some 1" solid front spacers that have a recess for the OEM seat bolt and a fully threaded upper section for the seat bolts I'd be all in. I think the combination of the two would make for a far more comfortable cabin. For the record I am 6' 2" 230 with a 34" inseam. YMMV

...^^^... Small airplane type or foam pillow in lower back area of the seat really helps me ... especially on a longer trip.

I have had several Tacomas and I did this to each one.

I drove from Denver to Portland and back basically non stop over the thanksgiving weekend , no comfort issues at all ! now then on my 81 pickup 2nd thing I did to it when new was yank the bench seat , break out the hog rings and cut some dense foam to reshape the seat under the stock upholstery ! Could be done to a new one but the air bags would be a issue …. 5 11, 190

I think the seats are fine, but if someone came up with a way to add another inch or two to the telescopic steering column I'm certain he would make a fortune.

Super curious to hear/see how they work for you, I use mine as a work truck and I don't like the carhartt covers, and looking for something cheaper than a clazzio...

My 84 supra nice seats. lumbar adjustable with inflatable bags in the back and butt area. Hand pump and release valves. Just makes me think about possible seat swapping with something newer.

I dont mind the seats but the head rest only comes up halfway on my head. Doesnt anyone know where to get taller headrests that slot into the standard cloth seats?
