Well in the world of maintenance of my truck i always find something I will need to take care of soon. So today after work I did my spark plugs, serpentine belt and attempted to do my diffs and transfer case. Well I got everything do except my rear diff. Went to go pull the drain plug on the rear diff, but found that wheeling adventures has ground outer ring down to almost touching the plug. Unfortunately I did not have my dremel to cut it out so I will do that tomorrow. Oh and I found that my driver side CV boot has a tear in it, so that is fun. Now to decide if I want to just reboot it for now or do I want get some CVJ axles.

Let the parts collection start. Bed side stiffener arrived today. Shock tabs from ruff stuff have shipped, shocks shipped today and now just waiting for lower shock mounts from archive to ship out. Once that all arrives I can start fabricating and get the rear of my truck all squared away. :bananadance::dancingbacon::broccoli::kona::jellydance::taco::yay::yes::woot:

What’s with those lower rod ends? Never seen any like that.

Normal King welded rod end. Basically a COM10 race welded to the shaft. Makes replacing the shafts 30% more expensive and built to order only.

@Night Eagle Get some King shin guards or boots to keep the shafts from getting pitted as fast.

    http://www.kingshocks.com/products/parts/2-5-smoothie-shaft-guard/

You will probably need a new shafts to run them.

I went with the welded rod ends to try and bring the lower mount up a little. I knew it would cost more to replace but I felt clearance is nice.

@TMFF are 2.0 and 2.5 shock shafts the same? It looks like the shaft guards will work with the welded rod ends.

Gotta check the lengths but both are 7/8 shafts. I just installed a set of the shin guards on some 2.5's and had to replace the rod end. They are retained by a small groove that's cut into the rod end and molded into the plastic. I have not need the welded version but I bet it has those provisions also.

Yep it was my dishwasher. Had a meeting with insurance today and it sounds good. Its just going to be time consuming now. I have to call a flooring guy and a plumber tomorrow to start getting the repairs rolling.

This is just taced in place for now. Just need to fine tune the tube placement and then burn the uppers into place and figure out where to place the lower mounts.

Make sure you cycle the suspension and make sure the shocks stay tilted forward the whole time. They look very close to vertical in the pic

They are vertical right now, because they are just hanging for looks. Plan on tearing leaf packs apart tomorrow to cycle and find the lower shock mount loction.

Hey looks are all that matter. The only mall in my neck of the woods is the dump. We all call it the Milner mall.
