Just a drone doing an “asteroid” quickshot. It flies up and backwards to a certain height and then takes a bunch of pics. Then stitches them together and blends it with the video while it’s flying back down.

Took apart my front end to reconnect one of my horns, clean moisture out of all of my led lights, my auxbeam finally got moisture in it after 2 years. Easy fix. Also attempted to change back to halogen bulbs, but I broke one of my metal clamp things on my headlights and apparently super glued my LEDs in... so, going to be blinding people til I get my retros unfortunately

Bumper looks great, one of my favorites. Weather looks good up there...I’ll be in Placid and Malone this week, anxious for snow.

RCI rock sliders installed today. Bolt on, very easy install. Line x. Hi lift jack also installed today, got the lotus bracket and waiting for the handle keeper so a hockey puck and a strap will keep it from rattling in the mean time.

We’ll see how these 20’ sliders double as steps , one kid banged his knee getting in, the other fell out getting out. So far so good.

Installed cabin air filter. Engine filter seems okay after six months. Cabin filter--ewww.

I've had lots of fun with rusted bolts. Tonight, I installed LED lamps into the backup lights. I'd previously replaced the cracked RH tail lamp. It was a cinch to remove. Removing the LH lamp broke a screw and broke the bottom housing because of rusted bolts. So now my LH lamp is held in place by the top screw only.

The light output is better, if cooler. Humans see warm lights better than cold lights. But the LED seems to shine further than the incandescent. You can sort of see in the attached image. The LED is on the left. The right (incandescent side) seems to create more of a halo and disperse its light. Or maybe I'm getting cataracts early.
    2019-01-13 18.31.59.jpg

I installed LED headlights on December 29. I notice a minor difference between high beams and low beams. I also notice that the area immediately in front of the truck is dark. So I turn my fog lamps on. The LEDs cause any reflective surface to phosphoresce brilliantly. I can see speeds signs way down the road. Also, note to those desire to swap out OEM on a 2010, the tab near the fender is a pain to get. You're working by touch. Still, I might go back to OEM halogens.

Realized how much I need better tires and a locker after trying to be a good samaritan and pull a stuck FJ out of a ditch on a logging road/unplowed trail, and almost getting myself stuck as well.

No I usually only carry two during the winter. But I have 4 as the road conditions dictate. Cant remember why I had them in the truck when I did that mod back in Nov haha
