They way I wired mine up are a little more advanced but I love the function of it. I have all my reverse lights hooked up to a relay and can be triggered by a switch or the reverse signal from the truck. I put a diode in the truck signal to prevent back feed if I turn on the switch.

Then I combined all my rear lights grounds to a single switch that allows me to "blackout" everything "illegal" on the back of the truck. That way if I'm backing up in traffic or around a cop I don't blind everyone. It also makes it easier for state inspections because I can just kill all the rear lights I need to with a single switch.

I’m just gonna risk it for the biscuit and hope I don’t get a ticket if I’m backing up around a cop. Though yesterday I was pulling someone out of a ditch and a couple cops had a lane blocked for me to work, and they didn’t mention it while I was reversing. Though I woulda been surprised if they did.

Hahaha that would have been a super dick move.

"Hey thanks for pulling him out....now here's your ticket for non-SAE R reverse lights."

You'll probably be fine with just the Rigid Ignites. I've got the Baja S2 pros and the Baja RTL-S back there also. It's a lot of light.

Yeah when you were backing up at Shane’s, as soon as you threw it in reverse Adam and I just started laughing at how many lights you have and how bright it is back there. It’s so awesome.

Has anyone had to redo their ball joints on a 2nd gen?
    What was the damage?
Just got a quote that seemed high.

We redid the lower ball joints on Adams truck. Just cost the price of moog ball joints and the rental of the press kit.

Haha I wish we only got that. It took me 30 minutes just to somewhat clear a path the my truck. We got around 15 inches in some places

It was right as it started to snow Sat about 1700. Went to get groceries and RX, just moved in with family at a new house, GPS didnt have the address as its new construction.
Blindly following GPS to the letter, got to the creek and it said turn right, instead of going through and followong the road as it curves right, literally turned down the creek bed. Theres a hole about 3 ft deep just downstream, car dropped in, back L wheel was up off the ground almost entirely out of the h20.
I backed my truck up as close as possible, climbed out the window, put the rear window down, used the rear window as a step and climbed into the bed, tow strap out, able to hook the tow hitch on the car and clumb back in and it pull out.
Weirdest part for me was once the car was out, i opened the door and the amount of h2o that poured out l. Like a movie scene, anytjing that had been on the floor was floating.

I didn't measure but I'm pretty sure we got as much or more snow last night as what we got on Saturday.

I've actually only ever turned them on once while driving. I had a tractor trailer tailgating me with his high beams on. No matter how I would change my speed he wouldn't get off my ass. So I flicked them on and left them on. He backed off real quick.
