Supercharging a 3rd gen?

Hi guys,

So I know TRD used to make a supercharger (well magnuson) but now they don’t have a 3rd gen option available. This is a mod I would love to do on my 2018, any overall thoughts, tips, product recommendations? I love my truck but I’d love it more with a bit more power. Any other thoughts on increasing power without a supercharger? Thanks, take care everybody.

OVTune seems popular, and is basically the only real effective thing on the market right now for your gen.

 

You’re gonna have to wait at least another year before anybody comes to market with any form of forced induction

 

@OVTune is your only option.

A tune is not a supercharger, not even close.

OP there is nothing available so unless you have a custom kit made you’re out of luck.

 

I cannot recommend OVTune enough.

 

I get that but if it does give a true power boost I’d be interested.

 

You noticed quite a difference in your truck?

 

Much better throttle response and it holds gears longer, but shifts when it should now. It's not a supercharger, but it's made me love the truck a lot more.

 

A little light reading. Mat is also working on a turbo charger set up and tune, but I'd say it'll be 2020 before we see that.
