It hasn’t proved itself, I feel no trust driving it hunting or too far off the pavement.

I know it’s perfectly capable but I just can’t get 100% comfortable

Boss has given me permission to send creative directly to one of our department store clients for years now, tells me last week (Thursday afternoon) that we need to send new stuff to them urgently before the weekend. I bust my ass on Friday and turn it around by 5pm, and send it directly to them...as I've done for years. Boss emails me this morning "I never told you to send it directly to them, I need to approve this first. We will talk"......fucker, you're welcome btw

Client liked it and approved it immediately

Yup, when the owner gets on him about not keeping him in the loop, he turns it around on us...despite anything he's said or given permission for previously. Shit happens a lot around here

 

Get a set of points too. They will likely be corroded all to hell. only a few minutes to swap and gap, flat feeler gauges needed.

 

I got lucky and she lit right off when i poured some gas down the carb. But I will definitely inspect them anyway, thing is really clean and dry. If anything they might just need a proper gapping.

Believe me I'd love to have it, but there's someone out there who loves this body style and period correct mods more than I do.

 

She doesn't know yet. I told her in its condition, which is really nice but by no means show car status it is probably worth 12-15K. It only has 32,350 on the ODO and it is a 4 speed manual. Wood floor bed but fleet sides, which is a weird combo. It's battle ship grey and has a couple bondo spots, but nothing major and the frame and floor pan are immaculate. Needs a new valve cover breather assembly and could really use new shocks, but other than that it's a total driver.

 

Texas ain't far. I'll take some pictures of it when I go on Wednesday to get her all sorted out and hopefully give it an Italian tuneup. I do love driving Chevies with truck arm rear suspension, rides so smooth.

 

This thing would be a prime candidate for a restoration, it is all there but it just isn't perfect. If a body shop actually fixed the bondo sections up and gave it a solid paintjob you could pass it off as restored. Needs someone to remove all the 70/80s goodness in the cab though for full authenticity though.

 

Really? I want to buy a set. But I’m broke.
