With that year and mileage the 340f is getting to the end of its life. While solid behind the 3.4, once behind the extra torque and weight of the 100 series (or Tundra and Sequoia) they show their age faster and fail more often. The front differential is weak for 4wheeling but a newer front carrier or air locker fixes that. Very solid engine, at 200k miles with a good service history, just starting to break in.

If you need the room and a bigger EAF badge, go for it.

True but it's the less desirable of the OTC meds due to the increased risk of bleeding when using it as well as kidney damage.

Pretty sure that all over the OTC Pain Meds have the same effect on kidney's and yet Army Medics hand them out (At 2x 500mg a pop- horse sized) like candies. :notsure:

I would closely check your next bill. The last time they pulled that shit with me it turned out that it wasn't, in fact, cheaper for the internet which is all I wanted. The guy told me that the basic package or whatever minimum TV plus internet would be less, and that part was true. What he didn't mention was that meant you also had to have a tv box which leased for $10 a month or something - which brought the total right back up to what the internet alone was. While technically true that it got you more for the same amount of money (I think there was some kind of streaming access included too), it was still blatantly false so I returned that box and switched it back to internet only right away. Think I dropped speed too (since it was more than necessary) just to give them less money.

Will do, I did ask the rep if I would have to pay a rental fee for the box and she said no but honesty is obviously not Comcasts thing to begin with.

It still pisses me off that their online tool will only show you "upgrades" to what you have instead of all options

Man, I was just doing the same thing. Getting rid of the land line, I tried to do it online, but when I went to complete, I was required to call the "Loyalty Team". "Don't you want your phone for emergencies? What if we give you $20/off for a year?" Just cancel the damn service I want to cancel already.

+1 for Safelite glass absolutely sucking.

Here's my windshield they replaced 1.5 years ago. Highlighted in red are the cracks. The glass cracked after the first snow that sat on it overnight. The cracks have been spreading due to snow sitting on it and cold/warm up cycles.

Worst glass I've ever had on my truck.

I worked for Safelite when I was a young lad. Rules for getting glass replaced by Safelite:

    1. NEVER allow them to use their glass. Always order OEM.
    2. ALWAYS have it installed at their shop - not by a road tech at your location. (whoever works at the shop is generally a much more experienced tech and the environment is much more controlled.)
    3. Tell them to cold knife that shit out. Don't let them use their modified sawzall "extractor". You might not see it, but your dash and body under the dash and hood is going to be screwed and will rust later if they don't prime properly.

If you have a US made car just forget about it. Your car will never go back together the same way. German and Japanese cars always came apart the best and went back together exactly how they were suppose to.

I fill in all chips ASAP so I don't have to replace the windshields. If I ever did have to replace a windshield I would do it myself. I'd never trust any tech to work on my car how they do.

Also, if you think going to another glass installer is going to save you, Safelite is owned by Belron and one of the largest glass manufactures. Almost all aftermarket glass comes form Safelite in the US. Go to a Safelite warehouse early in the morning and you will see all the other glass installer companies loading up their trucks for the day. Or just hang out at your preferred glass installer and you will see a Belron or Safelite delivery truck load them up with glass normally twice a day. Once in the morning and one in the afternoon based on how many windshields they move.

Well... that's just great. I nailed the negative trifecta.

How do I go about ordering OEM glass? I plan on going to a local glass shop (that did my custom shower doors) and have them replace it.

Safelite or any auto glass installer can order OEM glass for you. It is much more expensive and the margins are not good on it so they normally won't tell you, but they can get it delivered from the dealer just like anybody else. You also get the OEM molding this way too. Safelite has a bunch of generic moldings that they will try and match to your car, but it is not OEM molding. I worked for them quite awhile ago, but at the time it was a flat $150 labor fee for install on OEM glass. Glass guys are always looking for side work too so if you order the glass yourself and find a Safelite guy cruising around ask them. We use to do sidework in the shop on the weekends all the time.

Good glass will say PPG, Pilkington, or Saint-Gobain Sekurit on it somewhere.

    NO

1980's Torsion bars are for the proper "overlander" nerds to fuck with. IMO don't go back in time with that archaic shit suspension.

Anyone want to go on a shopping spree? Hotel we're staying at in the future sent us (and 105 other people) complete reservation information, including un-encrypted full credit card numbers. Check in, check out, room numbers, full names, etc. Of course, that means 105 people (at a minimum) have our credit card info, too.

    Fun times.

Working in software, I'm constantly surprised by how many setups don't store that data hashed, such that you can't back it out to get to the original credit card number (or password, or SSN, etc.). Like, for real, it's not that hard. I was also one of those people who were hit by the Starwood/Marriott leak last year.
Just curious, which hotel? (so we know not to stay there).

Dealers can do a VIN verification as well. I took it to a local Ford dealer actually because they were closer to the DMV I was at.
