Shouldn't be driving over the speed limit anyways.

It does rev a little high when I set the cruise between 70 - 75 but it's not too bad.

In the Manual you will notice it more than just off the line, hills that you could pull in 6th gear before require you to downshift to 5th and some days even 4th. I still have not had the TSB done yet so am hoping that will help with that as it should improve the driving dynamics.

Well the speed limits in Texas roads are usually 75, 85 in that SA-Austin toll, then we're usually allowed to drive 5mph above the limit. So hitting 95mph is not that uncommon there, 80-90 is pretty common depending on if you have a radar. I wont go above 80, 85 is I need to quickly pass someone, in my Taco, but sometimes I get to drive the super charged Range Rover and that one I like going fast with.

Nope, I get little ups and down on the highway in my area. Before the TSB it would shift all the way down to 4th for a hill that I would pass in 2 seconds. Post TSB I feel it shift only once. Its better, but not where it should be.

There is a Manual TSB too that I am hoping to have done some time in the near future.

You ABSOLUTELY need to get that done

04B13 is miles ahead of all the previous calibrations.

Have you entertained the possibility of doing it yourself?

Understood, no risk in the dealer doing it. The thing is, getting them to do it.

    Good luck!

I was thinking of taking in the TSB for Power Steering Surges as I think that one has the same programming and would probably be easier to get them to do.

Give it enough time and a longer track and you will eventually do a version of Ricer Fly By in the 3rd.

I've driven both (6 speed manuals) and agree with the statement above. If you want power from the 3.5L, get into higher RPMS. At that point it is stronger than the 4L.

After 4 months with the TSB and a Manual Transmission, I can tell you, without a doubt, that it a made significant difference.

I know exactly what you are talking about when you said you have to downshift more than you would with a second gen because that is exactly how a felt.

on some of my normal drives, I would have to downshift to 4th/3rd just to make it up a hill/mountain without slowing down.

After the TSB, I can basically stay in 6th the whole way. Sure, If I need to pass on a steep incline, I would need to downshift to 4th or 5th. That's normal in my eyes. Having to downshift to 4th just to maintain 65mph when with my second Gen (on the same routes) I didn't have to just didn't make sense to me at all.

When I got the TSB, I noticed a difference the moment I got off the lot.
