By the end of the month I'm putting in a rear ARB locker (well not me, but I'll pay someone or a shop). I'll have the compressor installed and ready to go, just need a reference to someone or a shop that's reputable and has done some locker and gear installs before. Let me know, any info or references are appreciated.

Mainline overland in west Chester installed mine. Happy with their work.

Just buy a center from east coast gear supply or marlin crawler.
If your capable enough to install the compressor I'm sure u can install a 3rd.
    And run the air line.

Ecgs and marlin do not charge setup labor.
Vs paying a shop to install the locker in your dif.
Cost wise its almost a wash.
My rear from marlin was $1600 -$300 I'm gonna sell my old diff for=$1300
Vs $1200 for an arb installed in my diff.
    If that makes since.
And for the $1200 I was going to have to pull and install the center anyways.

How much did they charge you? Did they do both the locker and compressor?

They’re getting back to me on a quote.

Well my truck is a different vintage then yours.
I'm just letting you know there may be better options.
Because they include the labor for free so it offets the fact your actually buying more parts.

I’m thinking of doing it myself, really if they’re going to charge me $1000+

Well I found a local place in Collegeville PA that quoted me $750. Also, they’re not sure they can guarantee the work since I’m providing the locker (new).

If they’re not guaranteeing the labor at least, I’ll keep looking or do it myself.

Like mentioned before, you could check with Matt @TNT4X4. He's in Edison NJ, might/not be too far at decent quote.
If you want, pm me for his phone number, he's not on the forum that much anymore.

Just a heads up on ARBs. ECGS has resealed over 200 of them in the last year. This is directly from Chase, the owner.

Apparently, there is a manufacturing defect from the supplier of the seals to ARB.

Supposedly, there will be a new replacement seal available in March. I’m waiting to have mine resealed then. It’s leaking badly after just being done AGAIN in Oct.

Looks like it’s too late for the OP, but at least if ECGS does the build, you get their 5 year warranty. AND, they’re a company that does major business with ARB. They’re not going to get the run around from them...

Thanks for the info, I’m still getting everything set up. Which seal and should I contact ARB? I have everything still new and not installed yet.

Is this the issue you’re having?
