I got the service campaign notice to replace heater blower. Called the dealership 3 weeks ago to get it replaced. Drove 100 miles today for the repair. Got to the dealership only to be told they never ordered the part. Srevice told me it would be 2-3 weeks to get the part. That dealership will never get my business again.

Is there a dealership closer than 100 miles from you?

My dealer is 10 minutes away and I always call to make sure everything is ready before my appointment. I had the vacuum brake replaced under TSB and I called to make sure. They didn't have all the parts so I just simply rescheduled.

After the fact but, I'd suggest before making a 100 mile drive, to call the dealer the day before to confirm the appointment and that they have the parts to do the job.

My dealership has always done right by me, thank goodness. During the Rear leaf spring replacement campaign for the 2nd gens., I got on the list for new springs, and was told it might be a while. Went to them about a week later for something unrelated, an oil change, I believe, and the service manager said "You got a couple of hours to spare? We have a set of springs that were for someone else, but we've called and called and we have not gotten any response from him. You want them for your truck?" Got my new rear springs in about an hour and a half or so...

This was the second time I have had problems with them. I called them before for oil change and to have the tsb done on the tranny. They told me only one service issue per appointment

ughhh sorry that happened... I'm assuming this is the same Stevinson I got my truck from, same thing happened to me with the TSB for my door seals that were noisy. They supposedly ordered the parts, called to say they were in and to make an appt, got there and turns out they were never ordered. WTF. 65 mile drive for me and they are the closest. That and other reasons have made me vow not to return there. I take my business a little further now but have had great service there.
