Yup, Blizzak DM-V2 245/75r16, got those rims with my previous tacoma, the Blizzaks saved my life at least once, so it was a no brainer when it was time to change them. They proved themselves again yesterday, I drove 500 km and it took 4 hours to do the first 440km, then 2 hours for the last 60 km in the snowstorm, they never flinched.

Snow tires (or homologated all seasons) are mandatory by law here from December to March, but really you need them 5 month a year and all seasons like Duratracs and KO2s just won't be enough for the kind of weather we have.

People don't usually put mags on dedicated snow tires, but some do. I might put the Beadlocks if I pull the trigger on 17" Tundra Pro wheels for my summer set, but I actually find the steelies looks good, might paint them in black next winter.

The Voodoo Blue TRD Pro is pure sex and I envy those of you who own one. I purchased my Blazing Blue Pearl '18 TRD OR in October '18 and the Voodoo Blue '19 was already out. If I had to do it again I'd absolutely pay the extra for the Voodoo Blue Pro, but in my defense I was able to get 9% off MSRP for the '18.

Now please stop posting pics of your Voodoo Blue trucks so I can go on with my life undistracted by the glory.

I LOVE the Voodoo Blue, but honestly if they offered Blazing Blue Pearl or better yet... Blue Ribbon Metalic in the 2019 Pro, my decision would have been A LOT harder!!

Lift is on. I just ordered the hypertech speedometer calibrator. I think my next steps will be UCAs, sliders, and low profile front bumper.

For anybody considering a lift, I would suggest not going with the revtek kit. There’s nothing wrong with it, other than the price. You can get the same parts on your own for less than $100. I got the front spacers and hardware on Amazon for $35 and the fabtech rear leaf for $50. Parts and installation totaled $285. The revtek is ~$450 just for the kit.

    Howzit ZheFury,
I've been looking for the right lift and tires, without giving up the Fox suspensions and springs for my Voodoo pro and your set up is awesome! That's a beast, right there!

Would you kindly help us Voodoo Pro owners by copy link post of your orders from Amazon and help us with build set up.

Btw, how much lift did that give you overall? I wanna make sure I have enough clearance to still fit in the garage!!

    Voodo Blue Strong!!

This is the spacer set I ordered. It gives you two inches in the front. That, plus the 285’s will give you approx. 4 inches of added height in the front.

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078RM9YDB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_VA7qCb0RTZ477

Something like this should do for the rear:

    https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/arb-old-man-emu-dakar-extra-leaf-springs/2539

I got mine from another member who had the leafs for sale for $50. He also did the install. The spacer is pretty straight forward and honestly so is the add-a-leaf, but I get more comfortable having someone more experienced to the wrenching. I’d recommend UCAs to complete the lift. I haven’t done it yet because of cost but those are definitely my next big purchase.

No judgement just food for thought.

Keep in mind that the Revtek kit is designed to work with the TRD Pro suspension and is a Preload kit (like the one shown in the graphic below). The spacers you are using @ZheFury is a generic spacer that fits on many different applications it is a Strut Extension (as it goes on top of the strut, as shown in the graphic below).

**this is probably also why they are considerably cheaper**

    upload_2019-1-19_18-32-23.jpg

Here is the video where I got the clip it explains the three options shown. Obviously the best option is ride height adjustments but of the two spacers, the Preload type is the only one really engineered (by Revtek) to work on the TRD Pro FOX Shocks and even then it has limitations and issues.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ijkcR68oxU

(The better of the two Revtek kits) is the "KIT 427AP- 1.5” FRONT AND 1.5” REAR LIFT KIT WITH REAR ADD-A-LEAF FOR TRD PRO TRUCKS" http://www.revtek.com/vehicle-selections/toyota/tacoma/2016-2018-tacoma-4wd-prerunner.html

I’m by no means an expert, but I did go off the advice of Texoma who is the local mad scientist when it comes to mods. I went with his recommendations and I trust his opinion. Triple C Chop Shop is the go-to for all things suspension for the Austin crew and he really knows his stuff.
