Been a while since Ive been in here but its been a slow few months.. Its kinda hard to do work on the truck when its dark and cold outside anytime you're not at work. (I need a garage)
Two new tires on the rear after having one unrepairable failure
    A-pillar RAM mount phone holder
Anytime e-locker mod which was super awesome on some snowy power lines this weekend
Redesigned my front license plate with some trees :D

Looking forward to getting my dual battery kit from Off-Grid Engineering @HeliMedic installed sometime this week or next.
Hopefully my Northstars from the last group buy will be in this month and I can get that all wrapped up.

    Need help please.

The AUTO LSD system doesn't work anymore
The AUTO LSD light stays on permanently, and the switch no longer works... (I've disconnected the battery and swicth, and then reconnected; but no way)

Has anyone experienced this issue ?
Anything I can do about that ? (no mechanic here)
    Would appreciate any suggestion

It might be best to run to a local auto parts store and run a scan using an OBDII reader to pull codes. Once you have the codes you can then search a bit online to see if there are any issues reported similar to yours.

However, I had a similar issue post lift that caused several lights to illuminate (including the slip light shown in your post) along with disabling my abs (which is used for the LSD system if I'm not mistaken). It was all due to a stretched ABS Sensor Wire on the front passenger side. It's a pretty common issue for them to fail if stretched. I believe that all four wheels are equipped with this and if one is out then the whole system is crippled.

The part is easily found on eBay for around $30 and I installed in about 45 minutes without any mechanical experience. The dealership wanted to charge me upwards of $650 for it.

    Good luck!

It plugs in at the hub and runs from there up the steering knuckle and is also clipped to the UCA. If the ABS Sensor wire is actually stretched it won't be diagnosed by looking at it as the wire itself is in a sleeve and most likely snapped inside. Like I stated in my previous post I think the best course would be to actually pull the codes and go from there.

Just got a call back from Toyota. They found a dime sized hole in the frame. Looks like I begin the long two month wait for a new frame, brake lines, bushings, etc. On the plus side I get my truck back tomorrow and turn in the loaner Corolla.

Did they extend/expand the frame recall or something? I have a 2011, and wondering if I should take mine in for a check/spray

Yes, it got extended for the '05-'10 tacomas not sure about the 2011's. I do, however, believe it ends Jan 31 of this year. Get it checked.

Presidente Bill FCC. Presidente didn't come to the states until a few yrs ago well maybe almost 10 now. But watching some YouTube videos of CB repairmen they are built a lot better than our popular ones. They are pretty fair priced for what you get.

I bought this 2015 tacoma pre runner sr5. I’m new to the Tacoma world & thread. If you guys don’t mind, can I “mod” this truck with any 2nd generation aftermarket parts? Thanks.
