Yeah I freaked out when I did it at first because the crappy hole saw I got from Harbor Freight wouldn't cut through the fender, it just chewed the shit out of the paint in a circlular pattern lol. That was fun.

Went and picked up the Milwaukee brand one at Home Depot and it cut through like a hot knife through butter

Ham is really annoying for trail talk though, great for lots of things, but idle chit chat between friends and calling out oncoming and obstacles isn't one of them

I had both when I went to Pismo. The HAM was nice because it was portable and I was able to talk to spotters outside the truck. The CB was useful when I was traveling on the highway in a convoy.

Surprised you bothered with the HF holes saws. I remember warning someone about those. Must not have been you tho. They're terrible, absolute shit. Pretty much all of their blades for anything are bottom of the barrel trash. I really had to chowder my clutch MC hole when I swapped the truck to manual haha.

depends on the stuff, their wrenches and sockets are actually good and plenty strong. Consumables don't last long

Yeah I wish it was me you told, I would've avoided them lol. I don't know if it was the blade or the fact that the hole saw was so shallow...probably both...but it was bad. Barely dug into the fender at all and our fenders are thin AF.

Their wrenches have only dissapointed me, they don't fit snug and the hardening is bad so they bend and then you have rounded fasteners. Sockets are good though if theyre the Taiwanese impact sockets

didn't know you passed your ham test. did you do that group license thing they had up in the north bay? I was going to head up there but had a conflict with the date. Waiting for the next one.

Not sure if I could do the 'like me and tyler' thing... :anonymous::anonymous:
