If ca is in charge your fucked.
Customer ran smud seems to handle it's own and cheaper then pg&e.
Gov run will just mean excuses and rate hikes do to mis management.

Still have to pay pg&e for distribution though.

This might be good. Each city picks up their local distribution system. We go from from a centralized system to decentralized. Benefits to that.

Really, 3 major law suits in the last few yrs. It was going to happen sooner of later. They should of never allowed the law suits. But without getting political this conversation is not going very far.

Totally funny to see a big player like PG&E filing for bankruptcy anyhow, haha.

Maybe. *deleted semi political stuff here.

    I don’t really know.

I do know PG&E has screwed itself with differed maintenance (just like 99% of utilities) and now has to pay the piper.

Sucks all around. For the people who lost their lives, people who lost their homes and now people who are losing their jobs.

Got Billy’s HC installed sometime last year. I’m thinking of relocating the plate so I can use the hitch for mountain bike

I will be going the same route. I won't be getting swing out either. I think it makes the truck look too long. Got any pics?

Doesn't really work like that except when a city owns its utility. Bottom line is your power will be "greener" and "cost less". Except that's not how distribution works. All it really does is add a layer (and fees).

If your in the hills maybe. Down in the lowlands its still cheap, but then you get crackheads, hookers, gang members, etc. I lived out there for years before Sacramento and now San Jose. I use to count the "click claks" to go to sleep as the local working girls walked my corner. For 700 a month it was worth it though to have my own place. I also had a well trained rotty so not really a target. Most people out there looking to come up are scared of big dogs. Oh how I miss those young and dumb days.

Well, I took the tape off (damn cheap tape - never use cheap masking tape!) and wiped it off...

I plastic-welded the edges, and added supports on the back-side, then bondo'd most of it. It needs more sanding and maybe a final touch-up of bondo. I know you weren't thinking of a deep-dish, but if you wanted to, it's not far away from it now...

If you want it, it's yours.

I agree that this could be good. I worked alot of PG&e pipeline projects when I was a consultant. They are just to big in my opinion to manage at that level. We would regularly uncover pipes they had no records of when testing pipelines after the San Bruno tragedy. The shit I saw just in a couple years was concerning to say the least.

Edison down south is alot smaller and has a better handle on their infrastructure.

    Came out of nowhere?

They are responsible for tens of thousands of burned homes and countless deaths due to fires in the past couple years alone. Not to mention gas explosions and deaths tied to those.

Not exactly surpised to see this at all.

The state Public Utilities Commission was supposed to be providing oversight. Don’t see any heads rolling over there.

I also wanna go HC rear, but also think that my truck will be too long. Certainly it will make fitting the limo into a garage that much more difficult.

But what else to do with that spare tire?!

I was just saying if pg&e gets split up. Each city (or private company) would now own a piece. They would be responsible for it.

Other than that we are in agreement.

Toss the entire board of directors in prison and confiscate their wealth to pay resitution. Fucking mass murderers. Forbid any advertising budget until back in black. A small group of people chose this outcome, they damn well out to be held responsible for it.
