Driven Perfection in Weymouth

 

I have an elliptical. I use it for 35 min nearly every day...and have done so for 5+ years. It's actually my 2nd elliptical as I wore one out. Doing 35 min a day means I can hit the road and run about 3.5-4.5 miles and get the same "feel" of a workout but if I run sometimes I get I/T band in my leg that acts up and my knee is sore for 2 days...and then other times (Like when I was in california 2 weeks ago) I can run 3-4 miles a day and feel like a champ. I did over 22 miles. It's so nice to be the only one in shorts and a t-shirt running when everyone else is in sweat shirts and long pants...some were even wearing hats and gloves! It was around 65F and sunny.

Man that is a lot of wood $$$. We had to replace some of my tongue and groove ceiling in the living room when we put the pellet stove in and those boards were pricey. The milling lines when they go through the rollers when they cut them are a pain in the ass...

Im going to do shiplap in the 2 living rooms.....
I have been toying with stain, or paint. I THINK the paint is more approriate in this case... i love the look of wood, and this is making me rethink my position.....

 

So, off tomorrow, last day to get my license renewed, and no lic, no work...
Wife and kiddos planned a little something for me for when I got home from work(she thankfully waiting until I showered the sucrose off... lol).
Now, I am blissfully enjoying my evening, and cooking some meatballs while I have a few spicy shots......

At least with pine it isn't as bad as it could be price wise, although I haven't seen the bill for the wood yet! I think our builder said around $800? He gets 10-30% off almost everything we buy at the building store with his contractor pricing (not hd, local place). 1200 +- linear feet of wood I think. Going to take a day or two longer than I had imagined in my head.

Thanks I'm really happy with how the wood has been turning out so far! It's a fair amount of work but I find it relaxing so I don't really mind doing it, will also speed things up since the contractors can come in when they are waiting on other subs for a morning and put it all up...instead of spending a week or two waiting for crap to dry then doing it.

The wall our bed is going against will be painted wood to match the room color. I think we should be painting sometime in February and I can post some pictures of both to give you an idea how it might look. The wood I'm staining now should be up within two weeks if not the end of this week if I have it ready.

Man, it sucks trying to buy another Taco and get a decent price.
But it could be because I'm a cheap prick and will squeeze a nickel until the Buffalo shits!

 

Its friggin tough. These things sell. So, less reason for deal to drop the price...
I fought to get mine under msrp. Was bouncing between 2 dealers.

I emailed like 5-6 dealers within 2-300 miles of me for mine. Ended up driving 2 hours to CT to pick it up. If you are trying to buy used though I think it's almost harder to find a good deal unless you know someone getting rid of their old one.

You dislike a lot of things

 

I dislike Prius drivers the most. They should be banned from highway travel or restricted to the far right lane.

 

The Nissan leaf can do the same!

 

Those still exist? I figured they all rusted to pieces by now in standard nissan fashion...
