To be honest, it didn’t look as cool as I thought but actually driving and drifting in the snow felt awesome

But he is able to live at home. Why piss that money on rent when he can save it? Theres no point for him to just pay rent when he can live for free. He can build his credit, save that money on a down payment for a house and still have the truck.
I slightly get where your coming from. An uptight parent isnt a bad parent by any means. His parents trust him or maybe want him to learn something.

I can guarantee we have way more members 10-20 years older than OP and are worse off on their financial decisions or went in 10k negative equity into their loan.

I am a bit confused after 14 pages........

Are you paying the BANK for the truck or your DAD??? You mentioned something about your dad signing something or he got you the deal.

    Could you clarify this, PLEASE!

Most people think I’m unable to save. I still save my $200-$400 per month. I live with my parents to save money. I have my own room so that’s enough for me.

    bingo.

Plenty of people that spend way beyond their means, buy huge houses, etc.

Also plenty of people that pay cash for a new vehicle then trade it off every couple years. Thats costing you way more money than if you finance one and keep it for 10....

You obviously have ZERO interest in women or getting laid. Much different than when I was 18.

Most 18 year olds live with their parents I'm pretty sure.

Geeze man, while it may have been a long time ago for most of us, the one thing I remember from way back then is that when there's a will, there IS a way.

That, and the back of a pickup truck can be lots of fun. After all, it *is* called a BED.

I moved out at 18. You know, when you're an adult? Kids are definitely different now days. Being independent when you're "supposed" to be probably is not recommended for today's youth.
