Calcimine ceilings from the fifty’s suck.
I was either going to .
A scrape and sand the eff out of it and make a great big mess.

    B. Go over it with 3/8 DW board and go through a great big messy deal ( sanding ends up everywhere) or

    C. Choose to finish it with wood. And it smell nice like pine

Considering doing other first floor room but adding a ceiling fan/ light . Might put a fan in this spring to the already finished room

I test drove a long bed DC at Bristol Toyota last month. They were very fair with their offer.

I ended up getting a '17 Sport AC from Boch and got totally hosed with all their 'hidden fees' and shady practices.

Looking at hotel prices to visit a friend in NYC... they want 45-55$ daily for the valet... and no in/out car service... So assuming I go there park for 3 days that's almost 150$ in just parking... not including each additional time I request the car to use...

That's ridiculous.Probably be better off driving to NJ, leaving the car there and taking a train in NYC. Although that wouldn't helped you if you needed to use the car while you're in NYC.

Even after the rebate, that's still half their value in 3 years. :notsure:

Oh definitely, it's crazy. I wonder if some of it has to do with them being the 1st real generation of mass produced EVs and even in the 3/4 years since they were released the tech has improved drastically and the ranges are so much better on the new ones so the used ones aren't very attractive to buy even at such a discount.

Anytime my wife gets annoyed with me I just start singing the chorus to that song..repeatedly

That sucks. I think you should recoup the cost by ubering in NYC with your truck, tent and all!

Yea no that doesn't work. I have to call ahead to ask about height restrictions and 90% of the hotels won't fit my truck. Sooooo I'll be bringing the beater.

This is going to be a long 7 days. Week from right now I'll be flying down to Orlando. My company is taking everyone world wide to Universal for 4 days for a 35th anniversary trip. Our sales organization goes down a few days early for our sales kick off event. Should be a good time. One of the nights they are closing the park to the public at like 7PM I think and we are allowed in there til midnight I believe.

Think that looks great. Also, I spent hours in our commercial building going over every single knot (the entire inside of the main area is wood walls) with specialty stuff. We've painted it twice (first time full primer, two coats. Second time just one coat) and will have to again this February/March because they bled through again.

So your wife might have "stopped you" but she really did just save you a shit ton of your time.

That's a lot of Fords these days too...or GMC etc...

When you get 12k off MSRP in incentives, they don't give it back to you on the trade in. It's not a full 50% but I don't think many are far off.

@Chasespeed what are the odds you walk out with one? Don't forget to grab pics if you do.

Compared to the outlandish hotel prices, the parking is the least of it. Last time I stayed in NYC it was at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. Room was almost $700 a night AFTER a sizable discount.

NYC certainly doesn't have a lot of redeeming qualities. Least of all is affordability! Last time I went there, I took the $15 Fung Wah bus and stayed with friends living in Hoboken, NJ. I'm not baller enough to stay in NYC.
