Do not believe @HSmith_11 he is already a crack head that lives in a dumpster behind my local Starbucks. Please escort the nice young man who started this thread to a nicer section of TW. He could even hang out here in my local Nor Cal group under the watchful eyes of Mr. @jberry813 untill we find him a good family that will adopt him. When that is done will you please take this thread and all other 3rd gen threads and rain down fire and brimstone with your divine god like powers

A truck is a pretty good way to travel and experience things

 

And so is an 80's Lada.

 

Working remotely is a very awesome thing I agree.

But 90 percent of people dont have that option.

 

I don't live there. I only happen to be hanging out there whenever you look.

 

And also, 90% of people who DO have that option, can't handle it. And that doesn't just mean that they screw around instead of getting work done (face it, 90% of people who visit TW are screwing around at work anyway), but it can mean things like young kids in the house. Its NOT EASY to get work done with a hoard of little monsters.

 

I wish that option was available to me, but I have to have an ass in a seat for clients

 

That's what cages are for. At least that's the reasoning my parents gave me whenever I asked about it.

He’s 18, something tells me he’s never bought a house and could get a FHA loan. When I bought my house I had a convential loan that only required 3% down, which on my house was 7k-ish. And I live in probably the most expensive county in Washington

 

My truck IS my experience. How else am I supposed to travel? I can travel to nearby states with no problem. It’s the reason I’m even allowed out of the house. I wasn’t allowed to leave the house until I had my license and a car. I like my manual

 

And something RELIABLE that won’t leave you stranded hours from home!

No your truck is debt. A $10k truck will get you to the same places as a $40k truck.

 

Exactly, I’m not spending 36k on chevy.

 

It just might not get you back. Most trucks under $20,000 are trash, especially sub 15k.
