Is the Leer 180 the best out there for maximum interior space, quality and function?

Looking to camp, and enjoy other outdoor stuff. Thank you in advance!

I just pulled the trigger yesterday on a Leer 180 for my 2010 DCLB. I researched a bunch and I ended up with Leer vs ARE because they gave me free carpet inside and a free fold down front window with sliders. I went with windoors on both sides as well.

I live in the mountains and play outside as much as possible, that’s why I liked the mid rise top and I think the windoors are a no brainer. I plan on building a sleeping platform with drawers and having it ready to go for summer!

Supposed to be here in three weeks. Pretty stoked!

I'm sure the Leer is fine, but I'm not sure it's the best. The big three brands are Leer, ARE, and Snugtop. All are good and all have various designs. The available features and optional add-ons are nearly identical between the three brands. Find a dealer that has a showroom so that you can compare the brands and models.

If camping/sleeping back there is your primary purpose, then yes, the Leer 180 or any other mid-rise cap (ARE, Snugtop) is a fantastic solution. I had one for many years and just that little bit of extra headroom makes a world of difference.

After my limited research on the web and at the dealer (A&A Toppers), it seems Snugtop is the way to go. A bit more expensive, bu the build quality seems superior. Looking at the Sport Hi-Liner model.

I've been very happy with the two Snugtop Rebels I've owned.
