I haven't been active in really long time also. I'd be into meeting up and go on camping wheeling trips.

So I just went on toytecs website and downloaded the instructions for installion for OME 90000 schocks and it looks like desert rat installed the coil seats back wards , so I’m ordering new shocks. Do you guys have any recommendations for a shop that will do this right ?

CAR ER off eagle ranch and Irving can do that for you and I can watch them do the work since we share a shop where I do my vinyl wraps at. I let their techs work on my truck regularly.

If there is enough interest from at least a few of us I bet we can get something going on a semi-regular basis like we used to.

Well, that’s some shit but the only other shops I can think of are 4wheel parts and TAV but I'm not completely sure. Of course, the other option would be to do the install yourself!

yar, coil perch is upside down. I'm used to doing suspensions myself so no idea where to take it. That perch needs replacing which I would inquire of Desert Rat to do so.

It's good to see all this talk of meets and putting trips together. Hopefully there is some follow through going into spring/summer.

Would love to go up there again and do the trails outside of Ouray and Telluride too. Truck needs some work but maybe late summer early fall? Give us plenty of time to plan and get everything together?

    Let's start planning!!!

    Let's get something together!

Let me know what you choose to do about the shocks and I'll do the install for you for way less than TAV of 4WP will.

Sounds good let's start planning something. @Taco505 lets start putting something together for maybe August ish?

My dads side of the family lives out near Rio Rancho, actually that’s where my truck is from: American Toyota haha.

    Anyways...

    I wouldn’t buy a whole new setup.
New bottom coil perch (right side up) isn’t a bad idea, looks like your coils are ok, but fine to just get coils and perches. Autozone and stores like them rent (for free) coil spring compressors if you’re comfortable doing it yourself. I’ve used them multiple times while removing, installing & upgrading coils on OME shocks. PS. Take that sway bar off- way more front end articulation & truly independent front suspension. Just don’t corner like it’s a rally car & you’ll be fine.

I'm so down. Never off regular weekends but with enough notice I can get the time off. Would be a blast! Are you still doing any fab work these days?

Trying to do what I can. With all the stuff with my injury stuff it has been rough to do much. What are you thinking about? I can see what I can do.

I ended up just ordering new OME 90000 shocks, and I will try and do it myself since toytec offers very detailed instructions on the installation, and yes I hardly ever drive fast so I might just end up taking it out any ways thanks for the help

I've seen more shops do this to customers than should ever happen. One local shop installed Fox shocks and installed the sway bar spacer backwards resulting in a bunch of rub. We fixed his truck in my driveway. If you are somewhat decent with a wrench do it yourself!

Seems crazy to me that people can do work like that and call themselves professional mechanics. Most of us self taught forum mechanics seem to do more quality work than that.
