Question on your OME suspension ... just installed an OME medium set up on my 2018. Current permanent added weight around 80 lbs (diamondback cover and some aluminum skids). Rocking 888 springs with the firm valve nitrocharger.

Right now, the day I installed it, I have a 3.75 in difference in the height of the front vs this morning before I started. Which sounds high to me. Do you happen to remember your before and after ride height numbers?

Love your build! May or may not have stolen a few ideas from it.

I did get around a 3” lift at first but once the coils settled it was more like 2.5”. I’d give it a week or so and see if they settle out. I’ll take the extra height any day!

Awesome - thank you for the quick response! It’s already settled some just getting it aligned and driving it this afternoon.

Yeah that’s normal. Also normal for the Dakar leafs (if you put those in) to squeak a little. Goes away eventually.

I did the “pre-install service” that I found on here, and haven’t had a problem yet. We’ll see as the time goes on.

I was worried about the fronts because of the CV-shafts. If from the center of the hub to the fender is more than 26in your pushing the limit of the CVs, and I was right there before driving it.

    Update: Ruby has been sold.
Thank you TW for all the information and support. For now I’m taking a break from building out vehicles but hopefully not for long. I think another Toyota truck is in my future but not sure which or when. Stay tuned, but it might be a while lol.

I didn’t get anything. I have a Silverado and a Subaru Outback. Didn’t need three vehicles for one person.

Like others shipmate, I've enjoyed your build and experience! Your choices had influence on my BBP build.
Best of luck in all future en-devours, don't be a stranger!!

    Thank you.

I don’t think I’ll be gone long. In a few months I would love to get either a 1st gen or T100 and do it up.

One of the other cars in the garage is a 2018 Subaru Outback. I think some of my itches to modify vehicles will be satisfied by doing some small things to this vehicle. Not sure where to start because I am unfamiliar with the Subaru aftermarket world, but it should be fun. Do any of you have second project vehicles? Any Subaru owners?

Used to own a 2004 Subaru Outback for a long time -- sold it to a friend, almost bought it back 2 years later haha. Nasioc is the tacomaworld of subarus. I had King springs and KYB struts for a little lift and way better handling. Primitive Racing is also a great company for rally-style equipment.

Subbie’s have a big following in the modification world, lots of cool stuff to be done. They will drain your money just like a Tacoma. Got a friend of a friend who has a tricked out Outback, it is way cool. AWD station wagon on steroids. Have fun, stay in the loop.

Concur...I definitely took inspiration from her build. Thanks and best of luck to you @LadyRed. BTW, the 1stGen/T100 idea sounds fantastic!
