Only way I’d pay $45k is if it had a SAS.

That's good to hear. Note to self: don't run over remote.

How do you like it? Run it pretty hard? I wouldn't be using it as much for recovery as I would for work around a farm.

Slow days in the office are a double whammy. Not working on cases so I'm not making money, and browsing the web for deals because I'm not working on cases.

When is this happening?! I'm in... and I'll bring even more beer! And it will be from Craft too. Steven, the owner, is great and I buy lots of beer from him. He also manages to surprise my wife with some wine too while I am gone. Great place and great owner!

EDIT: I think I get home the 27th... I am down to help, bs, drink and work on other things as I have quite a few goodies that I have been stocking up on while gone - remote start, pop and lock, trd pro grill and intake.

    It's still in the box:anonymous:.

Because I dont have a bumper at the house yet. I bought the X20 with syn line, 10k, based on numerous recommendations from people on here, and speaking with Joe@ Mobtown and Jason @ Demello. They use them

So I bought It without a second thought to its quality. But I'd only buy the x20, because that's what was recommended to me

You’ll love it. I use mine very regularly. I’ve used it maybe 15-20 times, both self recovery and recovering others, or even clearing fallen trees. Shit I even used it on Sunday to pull a kid out of a ditch.

The killer of winches is lack of use. In the manual it states that every month you should power out the line a few feet, free spool it a few feet, then wind it back in. Keeps the internals happy.

Thanks guys. I think I've got the info I need at this point, mainly that Smittybilt is not Shittybilt as is the term that is thrown around. The real question is, since they are that close in price (at the moment), which is the better winch. I guess I will never have a true definitive answer, if there even is one, unless I ran them hard side by side. I am sure that either will be good enough for my uses.

I have the XRC (lower level than the X20) and probably use it more frequently than most, and it's held up awesome. YMMV.

    Mine works great.
XRC 9.5 is decent for the money.

I have an 8k and hate it. Only reason I have it is because it was free.

People who call the center console "center council" are what is wrong with this country.

We has a touchy feely brief today about respecting coworkers and not touching their privates and the 25 year Navy Commander kept saying "discrimUnate". It bothered me way more than it should have.

Any 3rd Gen owners in here have any issues with e-brake freezing? This is twice now for me so now I'm curious.
