I plan on doin it! My guy is available in about two weeks to get it done. I figured I had 2 weeks to see if anyone else has done this and what the thoughts were. A lot cheaper than new wheels!!! I will definitely post pics!

I like the idea of plastidip (I would but nah) but actually painting the wheels is nice

Since I have 2 weeks til it gets done... another question.... I have a leveling kit on my truck. Front end went up 3 inches back went up 2. When she’s ready for new tires I want to go up a size. My stock wheels would accommodate the next size up tire with no issues or modifications right?

Does anyone know if the Toyota emblem would pop off of the grill? It appears as if it might? I’m considering leaving the emblem on the grill & the emblem on the wheels & the lugs silver when I get those painted black. What’s everybody’s opinion on that? If the Toyota emblem doesn’t pop off the grill I will probably Black the Toyota emblems on wheels also.

That’s yours I assume? That looks good too so I guess I can’t go wrong either way. Are yours painted?

Having any trouble with rocks chipping them? I’ve heard that can happen which is why I decided Automotive paint. Now I’m hearing it both ways.

A rock it going to chip either. Difference is powdercoat is marginally thicker. You can touch it up with paint usually, but it might dry a little 'recessed'

Not against a rock! I think powdercoat is typically harder since its baked on, but most all wheels are painted stock, so either way youre probably good!

I'm on gravel roads 2 to 3 times a week and no chips yet. Mine were powder coated around June ish.

Unless you are grinding rocks up against them, paint or pc should stay looking good for several years.
