Almost forgot all about last season until I opened the door & actually felt Winter is Here, not coming. Then the brain freeze lifted & I remember. Gonna be Bad Ass for sure.

 

Already not feeling so bad about the scuffs on my fender flare & front bumper. Hardly noticed it today.

 

I still haven’t washed my truck this year. I’m also still missing part of my fender and have a huge dent in my bumper.
I’ll fix it soon. Austin translation; I might fix it, or maybe not.

I went over to a good friend of mine last Wednesday that I’ve known since 1974. He was the best small engine mechanic and all around fix anything kind of guy. He would do anything for anybody. We sat around for about 4 hours drinking beer and general bullshiting. He was telling me his plans after retirement next year.
The next day I got a call that he had suffered a “medical event” (don’t know what that means as of yet.) They rushed him to the hospital and he was put on life support. Early Saturday morning they did test on him and he had no brain activity. His family removed him from life support. He passed away early yesterday morning at the age of 64. I still can’t believe it, he was never even sick in his life.
I guess the moral of my story is to live everyday like it’s your last. And especially to us old guys don’t wait to long before you retire, Clayton will never get to enjoy his.
RIP Clayton you were a good friend....
