    Morning Andres,
Is there a possibility of having the horns on fire re-anodized? Is that a thing?
Mine are not looking so happy anymore due to the salt they use here on the roads.
Also, I'd be willing to do whatever prep is require/involved.
    Thanks,
    Rob

Oh yeah Salt will attack the anodize/powder coat.
So the answer is no, this is due to the anodize shop they don't remove anodize.
The customer must remove any paint, primer, anodize, etc. before they accept the job to be anodized.
They have sand blasters but from what I gather this will not remove the anodize.
I certainly do not do this process of removing the anodize, I don't know how, I don't want to get involved.
If you are able to remove the anodize then yes I can accept the emblem back and reanodize it for a small fee plus shipping.
You may be able to do some research or watch youtube videos perhaps there is some info on how to remove anodize.

    Feel free to discuss.

Cool, thanks Andres, let me look into it. I don't mind paying a small fee for shipping and re-anodizing.
    Thanks,
    Rob

Ordered, woohoo! I’ve been wanting one for a while, but I always forgot about it when it was available. Glad I got in on this batch.

    Awesome!
I don't know what's involved but there should be a solution to this.
I'd be interested to find out.

    Andres,
Might be as easy as using oven cleaner from what I am reading.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCZNbozXHbo

Also depending on the amount of anodizing, you can just use Greased Lightening Degreaser (that's the brand name).
    https://www.instructables.com/id/Removing-Anodizing-From-Aluminum-Quickly-and-Easil/

Do you mind sending me a PM of how much it would cost to redo the "on fire" look?
Keep in mind I am one of your biggest ambassadors :D, second only to you.
    Thanks,
    Rob

Well, it seems the Easy Off Oven Cleaner method does the least amount of etching to the aluminum while removing the anodizing completely. From there the choice is up to you. Obviously this is all at our own risk.

Good thing I am making them out of aluminum, I had considered making them out of plastic back in 2008.
With a mold in place it could've worked but I liked the way the CNC aluminum looked and there was no turning back.
Emblems will last a lifetime, the only weak point is the threads you only need to be careful with them but even if they went out some inserts could do the job.

Perhaps the easiest way is to preorder at any time, I'll take care of the rest.

Glad you're in this batch, I'll keep you posted on the progress of your horns.

Perhaps when @RobP62 tests out his method you can do the same, ship it to me and I'll reanodize it for a small fee.
    PM me if interested.

Don't do it, Rob. How are you gonna neutralize that caustic?
