People use their e-brake?

 

I run a 12,000lb traveler from tractor supply. It was about 350$. Its been a good winch - not that i ever get stuck or anything

He doesn’t need one. He just goes really fast so he can hear the whining sound of the S/C.

 

Every time I park - manual trans.

 

Is it a pedal on the third gens or still a handbrake?

It is amazing to me that my 2006 has the same e/parking brake set up that my parents 86 tercel, 89 Camry and my 93 4Runner did. I think it's only set up like that in manuals though.

 

It's a hand brake but not like the ones on those models where it pulled out from the dash. On the third gen models it's on the console beside the shift lever.

 

First euro mount done deffinatly a learning experience. Not to bad

 

It's happened on other cars before but pretty infrequently. I'd just try to be more conscious of it and if you're parked level, not use it during the winter.

I have a 5th gen 4runner with disc brakes and used my e-brake on Sunday. On my way home, I started hearing a very loud clunking noise that increased in frequency with speed. I would slow down and it would go away. As I hit 30MPH it came back. I was completely confused bc it sounded like my rear diff was going to blow up. I hit the emergency brake pedal, heard a loud clunk and voila, clunking sound was gone.

 

Except for boogie. He bought fishbowls.
