Gallagher Head Lake Washington wheeling trip August 4th

Yeah I actually went up on the left of the rock as that's what I've done in the past and it also looked like it would be easier to get kicked into that boulder going up the right side.

 

Me and Boomer were thinking that side looked better too. We all went down on that side with no problems.

Would be interested to see a video of how the left side/third gen was.

 

After looking at the video of me coming up I was going to slow next time I need to pick up my speed.

 

Yep speed is key. When I went up I was a little over confident because I’ve been up it a few times and went to slow. The climb changes pretty much every year and there was a pretty big dip on the left side that stopped me in my tracks pretty much

 

It looks like the 1st gens made the climb easier.

Looks like you guys had fun. That lake looks killer. I would love to go if there is a next time. I have lived in Lacey since July, does anyone know of a place up in the Lacey,Tacoma or Seatle area that makes good sliders?

 

If we do a overnight this summer I’m game

 

I am down to make another run. Upgraded my suspension and got a rear bumper since then. Still no skids or newer/bigger tires but Ill survive. Not sure when it clears up from the snow.

 

I think it will be a while... some members have attempted early runs and hit old crappy snow.

 

That said, have yet to do a snow run in the rig. If anyone plans anything this winter let me know!

I’m down for a spring run. Anyone else have toddlers going? My kids almost 2 1/2 and will be going on camping trips this summer

Lessons learned.

 

whatever amount of beer you think you need multiply by 2.5x. Also extra UCA's, steering rack, CV axles.

 

and a power steering pump.

 

I should know by now to just ignore threads that contain the word Gallagher.
