My household income isn’t that high. Most of the time it wasn’t much higher than the median household income in the US.

It doesn’t take much just don’t piss away money as fast as you earn it lol. Thats the only key.

Home ownership is great as long as your home doesn’t own you.

You're not far off. According to the book "Millionaire Teacher" (a great read, btw), among real millionaires (as in, an actual million sitting in the bank/investments) the most popular vehicle is a $30k Toyota Camry.

My buddy dad is a big shot lawyer, makes about 300k a year and he has a 2005 vw golf 5speed, and a 2006 f250 super duty for the winter

That's an obvious baseless assumption as the math contradicts that. Using the same scenario I mentioned, you are right at the most basic level that both parties purchased a home and are living it and are both capable of making a payment. However, its more than obvious that the family that put 20% down have both a better financial outlook for their investment and have additional spending flexibility as their payment is $400ish less than the f they didn't put money down. Their finances and personal capital will grow faster

Does anyone want to talk about Tacomas or trucks in this sub-forum?

Jesus, some of you guys will argue over anything.

Does anyone actually really give 3 “insert 4 letter word of your choice” what the OP does with his money, or if he’s lying his ass off, or whatever?

    I mean really?

Let’s argue if the sky is black or blue.

    And go!

The first two are in the Panamint Mountains (Mengel Pass/Goler Wash), the third is Coyote Canyon by Borrego Springs, and the last was from Ocotillo Wells.
