windshield washer light wont go out

    I just filled by washer fluid and my dash light does not go out, is there a way to reset that.

    So far south in Texas my feet are in salt water
    Vehicle:
    04 4X4 Tacoma SR5
    3 in Ultimate ToyTec, set @ 2.5 in. AAL PINCH Weld Mod ( beat the pinch weld over inside the fender) Painted the pinch weld on bottom of cab Black Hi Lift Knock off
    replace the sensor on the bottom of the washer jug

    i had this problem a couple years ago but it was because it was leaking from everyspot possible lol the hoses kept coming loose and pissing out all the fluid.

    if you unplug the sensor in the windshield washer bottle does it go out?

    If the sensor closes the circuit on low level and lights the light then unpluging and having an open circuit would work. I was under there last week removing the jar and there was only one plug and it got the pump and the sensor, so ... You would need to cut a wire on the sensor to try it, but it should work.

    I do have a small leak, so I bet disconnecting the sensor will work. I'll try that this afternoon and let you know. thanks.
