Because they're MADE for your vehicle. They're the only companies that fully test their bumpers for additional safety as well as staying in uniform spec to your vehicles airbag sensors and pulse.

That’s great they test them but so does Toyota, so why would insurance give you a discount for putting them on. Your just replacing one for another, makes absolutely no sense.

Well my insurance dropped on both my vehicles each time I called and reported the installation of the ARB. If you believe the Tupperware on the front of your truck is as strong as the plate steel these companies use, then we need not speak anymore. The bumper is designed to prevent catastrophic damage to your vehicle in the event of an accident. Plain and simple.

I’m just looking for facts, you are literally the first person I have ever seen make these claims. You’d think with all the members on this site and all the ARB bumpers installed that someone else would have known about this. So yea I’m skeptical.

To be fair. Not ALL insurance companies welcome the modifications. Mine does. I've only had one company tell me they would give me higher rates, Farm Bureau. Maybe that's just where I live. I'm telling you it's a thing, brother. I mean no disrespect or to come off as defensive. Theres a reason I picked these bumpers over others that I find better looking.

It was my buddy with his 200 series cruiser that informed me about this. I didn't know either... but I do now.

I would HIGHLY recommend not going to safelite. Have the work done by and independent glass shop. Had them replace my rear window which they in turn caused significant damage to my truck to the tune of $6500 and 10 days in the shop to fix their incompetence.

Replaced the windshield on my 08 a year ago and had a very small slow leak at the top. Could only see it on cold days.

They screwed up about everything they possibly could on my truck. Started off ordering the wrong glass. I had them to the replacement in their shop so it was up to temp and they managed to break every plastic piece in the rear of my cab from the door sill all the way up the C pillar and the rear storage bins. On top of that the window wasn’t seated flush against the cab (it was OEM glass) dented the top of the cab and scratched the paint in multiple places. I found broken glass pieces all over the rear of the cab from when they busted the window taking it out.

I found out after the fact that those guys basically go through a couple hour training program and then they turn them lose. Anyone that’s any good leaves and opens their own shop
