I’m running same, but one is in place of clock, surprised the gauge stays in place while off roading, must be some good tape

Lol yup, its that clear thick tape made by 3M for mounting heavy artwork and stuff to walls. Holds well just doesn't look all that great haha.

6mo later we are still waiting for a better spot. :D

Not that I should talk. Its been a year since I had my S/C installed and I still don't have gauges in.
I have both sitting here on my desk for at least 6mo though :)

Haven't done a very good job keeping up with this, lol.

Let's see...since the last update I've added a snorkel ($100 eBay special/ARB knockoff, virtually identical) and some 33" Cooper ST Maxx in 255/85r16

Couple pics from last weekend's wheeling trip up in Big Bear, me and @Shmellmopwho and @SoCalTacoTruck did White Mountain and had a great time, thanks to SocalTacoTruck for the pics!

Ryan's with the kickouts. If they look half as decent on my truck as they do on your I will be very happy.

Was unsure about the kickouts, but finally made up my mind to go with them.

You'll love the sliders, mine have served me very well...I think kickouts are a good idea, better protection that way

Very nice truck! Well thought out mods for what you ask it to do. Quick question: What is your impression of the Coopers? Have you done any mud running with them?
They look to be a very well built albeit heavy tire.

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

I love the Cooper ST Maxx tires so far...had them on since Sept of last year. I upgraded from a 32" KO2 to a 33" skinny in the Coopers (255/85r16) and really happy that I did. Only thing that sucked was the trimming I had to do to get them to fit without rubbing, which in the beginning did cause a little bit of damage to some of the tire tread. But overall they seem to be holding up way better than the KO2s did as far as chunking goes...both previous sets of KO2s I had would chunk up something fierce on rocky trails. I don't notice hardly any chunking on the Coopers and I've been running them on trails almost every weekend.

I've seen a bit of mud with them and honestly, that's probably where they are the least impressive...but the KO2s weren't any better in mud. I think any A/T tire that performs well in all other areas tends to not do so well in mud, you need M/Ts if mud is something you plan to see regularly. I don't see much of it in Southern CA except for up in the mountains during winter, so I don't worry about it much.

The ST Maxx have impressed me everywhere else though - dirt, rocks, sand, and even snow.

Great! Thanks for the honest appraisal of the Coopers. One more question, regarding the trimming. I imagine you mean the pinch weld in the wheel well? Any other places you had to trim back??

    Again, thanks much:thumbsup:

Yeah definitely the pinch weld, I actually had to trim and fold the pinch weld back when I had the 32" KO2s because of the backspacing/offset of my aftermarket wheels.

Depending on your wheels, you might be able to get away with just having to trim/fold the pinch weld, but I also had to trim the metal around the pinch weld a bit and fold back as much as I could. It was a little unfortunate since it allows mud and debris to get inside the area where the door meets the cab (doesn't get inside the cab) so I need to fabricate something to cover it up. Kinda of a pain but yeah, it depends on your wheels really.

Most people seem to get away with minimal trimming with skinny 33s but I'm one of the unlucky ones lol.
