Wonder if they could see it in the parking garage? It is cement colored after all.

ATL is a busy place to be.

Happens here also on Long Island if you leave your vehicle at an LIRR train station in a less than desirable neighborhood. Broken glass on the ground in parking stalls are tell tale signs of occurrence. HIDs pryed from front fenders, mirrors ripped from doors. 53 brand new cars stolen from one dealership during the NYC blackout. Park anywhere and you always run the risk of someone damaging your ride, whether by accident or on purpose. Jealousy because you have nice wheels and they don’t. Cars pinstriped by a key or nail all the way down the side. Why? Because they simply walk down the side of your vehicle and scratch it as they pass. Pricks are everywhere. Worked in Manhattan and the Bronx, Long Island included, for dealerships and trade schools, seen it all. Feel your pain and anxiety!!

No matter what vehicle I have ever owned, someone, somewhere passes a less than appreciated comment.....jealousy plain and simple. They believe because you have a nice clean ride you have big bucks. lol. If that was only the case. Oh, and the ride can be an old heap, it doesn’t matter. You have it and they don’t.
Thieves break into garages all the time to steal the mechanics tools. I can go on and on.

In Michigan, my Toyota will get hated on just bc it’s foreign. A lot of dummies that think their domestic branded vechicle is more American. Caught the owner of the business next door to where I work flip my mirrors backwards on camera. The employees of the whole plumbing supply warehouse next door drive only GM vechicles, all personal. Very few in Michigan understand global supply chain and global public “American” companies having foreign board members and bank accounts. Unfortunately for them, Honda is the most American auto manufacturer in the US now.

Absolutely correct, you constantly receive comments from the haters all the time. Remember my shop teacher speaking sturnley to us as kids “ I don’t care what kind of vehicle comes in the shop, new or old, rusty, dented lousy paint, you treat it with care like it was your own, it’s the only vehicle this person can afford !” and he meant it !! Excellent words to live by.

Do some research on bumper design specifically progressive crumple and why bumpers are made intentionally of soft materials. A lot of R&D went into it over the years. Now you are changing that.

That blows. I had an incident on Christmas eve at a restaurant (for the record, my karma is great. I always tip well, especially that night). Fortunately, I had a rental at the time instead of my beautiful orange taco, but on Christmas eve, some guy was pissed I parked next to his Silverado in a compact spot, so he dinged my door with his, repeatedly, and kicked in the fender. Witness said the guy was there with wife and kid and was absolutely hammered leaving the place.

People get a taste of doing bad, they go through some mental gymnastics that makes them feel good about it, and then they keep doing it - until they get caught, the risk is greater than reward, or manage to sympathize with their victim.

Other people are just too chicken to face the consequences of making a mistake, like hitting a parked car. Maybe they had the same thing happen to them and they shrugged it off as it being this stranger's turn.

I'm surprised police weren't involved - hit and runs have always been taken very seriously everywhere I've lived.

Sorry for your crummy luck, friend.

Had many bad experiences, so when I park and think someone is going to be vindictive, I take a picture of the license plate before I leave my truck and head into a store. It a real shitty way to live, but you’d be glad to be able to report to your insurance company the individual who did it.

Parking in parking garages literally gives me anxiety. Pisses my wife off, but I'm the guy that parks at the back of the parking lot in the dead of winter and on hottest days of the summer. The exercise won't kill ya, honey. I'll take a frozen face and sweaty pits over shit like this any day of the week.

It's a shame the lack of attention people pay. We all make driving mistakes, but plastering the guy beside you in a parking spot is ignorance.

I had my windshield replaced for $50 GEICO is badass I have mechanical breakdown coverage so if you blow the transmission from Wheeling or blow up the rear end from burn outs deductible is only $250 but for some reason if the windshield fails let's say rocks from some idiot or log truck ect. it only cost $50 big ones and that was from Safelite. If you have GEICO I highly recommend adding mechanical breakdown coverage .

Crime rates are the lowest they’ve been since the late 60s. It just seems like there’s more because the internet and social media make it so that more information is instantly accessible now than any other time in history. Crime doesn’t happen more now, it actually happens less. We’re just more aware of crime now that happens outside of our own neighborhoods.
