    I have one of these-

Worthington 281149 1-Gallon Steel Propane Cylinder With Type 1 With Overflow Prevention Device Valve https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000SKX63U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_-UOpCbJKE40GF

I have it attached to the back of my diy fridge slide. It costs about $2.35 to refill at a place near home.

I carry a refillable sports basement bottle as back up. If I did it again I’d just have two of the sportsbasement bottles. If you’re a sportsbasementeer the refills are free. You just drop off the empty and pick up a full one.

I could do with a pair of the 1 pounders but it is nice to go on a two week camping trip, cook 2 meals a day for 4-5 people and never run out of gas.

So much for needing chains today to get over Donner. Shit decided to dump. Eagles was about 2pm. Didn't get chains off until Verdi.20190115_150919.jpg Then had to put them back on just to get into the dock for a unload. Than watched this 2 axle truck do circles for 15 min in the parking lot trying to get into the dock, he finally got into a situation and realized he had to put chains on.

    20190115_195336.jpg
Finally got to Boom town, calling it a night.

And one thing to keep in mind is that these small tanks aren’t all the same diameter. So if you are thinking of mounting it, make sure the one you gets fits the mount you have or plan to buy.

A lot of crap and too much money spent
Agreed, people are douche bags. I have no faith in humanity. People want to see these amazing places and this is how they treat them when no one is around to keep an eye on their dumbasses. Fucking ridiculous! These type of people need to be taken out with a double tap to the head.

Everyone is saying “don’t go to Tahoe. Feet of snow coming”. That would be awesome. Except if you live there and have to deal with it.

You should. I had fun just driving home yesterday. Some real snow wheeling would be amazing right now

I bought a new air filter for my truck yesterday and kept the old one for when it's super dusty.

    Does that count?

Wheeling slows down for me in the winter months, snow is fun to play in, but I prefer trails. With that said maybe we can start planning some trips for the year so people can get there shit together for them? What about an late April or early May camping/wheeling trip. Im open to opinions and options.

Yeah with this much snow out there (and my stock pickup) I may be out for the winter. I’ll be eager to get out in the spring before everything drys up though.

I’ve been trying to replicate a spring trip I took a few years ago. First 3 days were misty and pouring down rain, 2 days of overcast and then 3 days of sunshine to finish it off. Was the dopest weather for the trip, everything was green, creeks and waterfalls running.
