does anyone here have any personal experience with the wotefusi snorkel? i know its in the diy thread but i was just curious if anyone had any side input. considering buying one for my truck since the price is friendly. 2nd has anyone ever tried any products from extreme light bars? I cant justify spending 1700 on a light bar and these guys are offering similar products with similar warranties for 1/3rd of the price.

If you want a cheaper alternative you can check out Aurora LED. It's still Chinese made but the are IP69K rated and they are almost exact clones of Rigid. In fact I heard Rigid is suing them or something. I've got two scene lights from them that were $40 a piece and i'm pretty impressed with the quality....and those suckers are bright. Full light bars from Aurora are still not free. But they are a lot cheaper than Rigid. I personally don't think Rigid is worth the price tag. I do however think Baja Designs is worth the price tag. I have all three and Baja blows everything out of the water (it's not even close).

Yeah took mine off about a year and a half ago. The damn boots were always moving and getting bent and folded at weird angles.

I read something awhile ago about how’s theres a different type of seal on ones with a boot vs ones designed to run no boot. That no boot ones are designed for the dirty shock shaft sliding in (sounds so wrong) and expelling that dirt, whereas the other kind can damage the seals prematurely. Not sure on the acccuracy on that but I left the boots on because of it.

Before I installed mine I used my wife’s hairdryer to massage them and stretch them out, and I use hose clamps to secure them. They compress and extend nicely

So you warmed and massaged your dirty shock shaft boot before putting it on?

I mean, I've been know to uninstall and reinstall windshields with bathroom caulk after pounding a few Coors Lights, wasn't me this time though.

But for real, never. The Toyota dealer reinstalled the factory installed roof rack and it didn't help.
