Anyone know what an associates in general business can get you job/career wise? Finishing this semester & have no idea where to look. Was thinking casino or bank.. also got interested in financial advisor type stuff so wondering if I should go back & take some classes in that

I know I have seen many go into the bank field, but not sure what an associates will get you since many of my friends had their bachelors. Any idea of what sort of work would be ideal to you from a business standpoint?

No clue honestly. Just looking for something that’ll put me to work & use some of the stuff I learned

Well you can always get that resume as fresh as possible and just start throwing it out there. I actually posted my stuff on a bunch of recruiting sites like monster, glass door, and stuff like that. Doesn't mean you got to accept something on there, but I bet just from their job descriptions could give you some credible info of what your skill set is marketable in. You would be surprised too at how many different facets you might fit as business is pretty universal right?

These days the only thing an Associates will get you is into school to finish your Bachelors. Depending on the size of the company you apply at, most likely they will not even a look at your resume. A Bachelors is roughly equivalent to what a high school diploma was 20 years ago and a Masters today is what a Bachelors was back then. You do have the benefit of unemployment being at record lows currently so its hard to find good people. If you interview well and have a great resume then you have a decent chance. Have multiple people look at your resume, especially friends/family that might be in the line of work you're going after. They can give great advice about what they would be looking for on a resume. Think of the hiring process as sales, you're selling yourself. Make sure your resume shows clear cut achievements, include as much as you possibly can that is objective. Grades, sales numbers, consistent time at prior jobs etc. Show numbers, be concise, especially if you're going after "business" or banking type jobs.

Didn’t think of that, I’ll look into it thanks :)
Stating the facts today. Lol yea I figure the best thing would be to get my bachelors. Which is where I might look into financial advisor type stuff if I do go back. Thanks for the input! Definitely makes me think of what exactly I can even add on to my resume since I haven’t worked in any business related job.
Oh yea big bummer. When’s the next one? Hopefully I’ll make that one lol

Not sure man, I would imagine it will be in a week or two. This crew is pretty big on doing stuff as they will be out this weekend wheeling and stuff with some other groups. I would be involved in this weekend's shenanigans, but I got to head out of town. You could always get in on our group text if you want since you are tempe which is relatively close to the others I think. I'm unfortunately in North Scottsdale so no one wants to roll my way.

Ah, the good old days of being a college student. When all I cared about was doing well in school, paying rent, and having as much fun as humanly possible. Days before the wife, planning financially for the future, and mortgage payments.

I went to NAU, graduated with a degree in Mathematics and another in Mechanical Engineering in 2016. After the Corps I tested into the lowest math class that was worth actual credits at NAU. FOIL and all that jazz. Ended with a thorough understanding of advanced mathematics, none of which I use at work, whatsoever. And will most likely never ever use again.

Its alright man, I got a busted cv so I'm rolling honorary 2wd with a locker myself. Worst case you can just get strapped out. Hopefully you got a fun dog to watch.

Sadly I couldn't really tell ya as I havnt checked around much since I am currently in an apartment. My guess is it can be a little pricy, but I don't think you need to live literally in the scene to enjoy yourself on this side.
