I just got my truck a few weeks ago and was wondering is your windshield washer fluid supposed to only hit like 4 inches above the bottom of the window? Feels not that much comes out either didn't know if that was normal or not.

Yeah, most likely low fluid. Don't know if it's the same for every Tacoma but mine doesn't have a low/empty fluid light on the dash.

Just checked the tank is full. It's a new truck only 1 week old so it was the first time I had to use the windshield washer.

Yeah my dealer fluid was freezing up today as I drove 400 miles across west Texas. And it was mostly 31-32
    Get some winter washer fluid,

Tried it today was nice and warm out still about the same seems weak or poorly aimed not sure. Will have to play with someone else's taco to see if it is normal.

This also happens if the soap ratio is off (clogged pump/nozzles). To clean the nozzles, you need something to get into them or clear them out. You can do this by forcing water out through them using a hose or pump adapter and the connector/hose going to the nozzles. Or in reverse, with a small wire (I use a tip cleaner (found at welding supply shops)).
Honestly though, with a new truck... I'd have the dealership fix it. It could be as described above, but it also could be bad/poor pump or leaking hose. If you spend that time trying to solve and find out it is something that needs to be replaced... you'll be back seeing them anyway.

I asked the dealer and they said that's just how high it goes... I'll get used to it I guess.

That doesn't sound right.... I'll try and catch some video of mine for comparison.

You should have a headlight sensor. There is a sensor on the back of the rear view mirror as well as a sensor on the dash. At least my Premium has it and its a 2016. I'd think your should, unless it's a package thing.

It's not supposed to be a weak stream. You have a warranty concern that needs to be corrected.

Sounds like you need a different nozzle angle. They come in three different angle options:

It's a brand new truck. He just needs to take it to the dealership. No sense in changing nozzles out for a weak pump.

Absolutely take it to the dealership, but I'm saying it may be the nozzle angle that's the problem rather than a bad pump. He's not the first that has had this problem.

This post shows what the service manual has to say on the nozzle being out of anlignment: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-hood-cowl-interference.458082/#post-13542427
Dealer should take care of it. If not, try a different dealership.

This is not normal. My 2018 has lots of pressure and really douses the windshield. I ruined my 2010 and wife’s by putting vinegar in the fluid. Don’t do that.
